I stood there, stood in complete disbelief. Why, why now when its ment to be the most important year of my life? What, what made it turn out the way it did?

I was standing there for a good two minutes. At least till i musturd up the courage to go find her. Find my fragile aging mother. I walked to her bedroom rather quickly, she turned her head with all of mascara smudged upon both cheaks. Her blood shot eyes created a sense of sympathy from me. My tears welled up inside like a storm, uncontrollably yet slowly as if everything was for nothing. The fake smiles, the fake laughs it became a habit so it was always hard to distinguish which ones are real. The whole world stopped in time to prepare me for what was to happen. Her words so clear "He's dangerous Belle, I want a divorce, I can't take it any longer, he's donr it again". I couldn't take it any longer I cried  more by the minute, the clock ticking in my head. Tik...tok...tik...tok. My movements seem to be restricted by a single motion of my feet. They were taped doewn firmly. I couldnt get to her, not yet I don't think. I dont think I was ready for what was to come.
