Into the Night

I am Jace, and I am missing from the day world, the place where all the humans stay.  As far as i know i'm the only human so far in this night realm.  People don't know me as Jace down here because I had to change myself to survive in this nightmare.  I am known as an assasin a murderer and a brute.  They have my picture hanging up on the wanted wall.  I don't remember how i came down here I only know that it changed me, turned me into one of the monsters down here.  There is monsters of all sorts down here, vampires and werewolves are just the beginning.   It's sometimes difficult to be down here, but i've got plenty of connections so i know i'll be alright. 

  I was looking over the city from the tallest building, just sitting on a ledge when i heard an earpearcing scream.  I flung myself off the building and reached out my arms so my cape became wings.  I instantly turned in the direction of the scream, and that sight knocked the air out of me.  3 vampires had surrounded a human.  An actual real live human, the only humans i had seen down here were ghosts, but she was real as real as i was flying smack into one of the vampires.  "Thanks for the soft landed Guido, I cackled, You really shouldn't be picking on my kind I thought i taught you all so much better."

  "Lets just say I thought he didn't have a "kind", he spat back.  "This human is nothing to you, but she can feed us three for weeks, so go on your way Jace,and will pretend we never saw you."  "Well too bad because i didn't think i had a kind down here either, so now either you run or I can kill you,"  I said in a calm cool voice.

  "Fine will let her be, but next time one of you are alone, well lets just say it's feeding time," said Guido with some sort of shaking in his voice.  After they left the woman collapsed, but i caught her before she hit the ground.  "I wonder where you came from," I whispered gently holding her as i carried her back to my "home".
