“Welcome to Diamond University ma’am,” guard’s greetings as I entered the vast university.
“Oh my goodness, this year’s so freak! I can’t handle this anymore” a beautiful lady angrily said behind me. In my thought she’s also a student here but very fashionable. She has also the looks which everyone adore. In her long blond curly hair, sexy body and a flawless skin, in just one glance you can tell she’s born with a silver spoon unlike mine.
“What’s happening Kim? Are you not tired of talking? Early in the morning yet you already make a fuss here? You didn’t change at all” another adorable woman came after.
“So that’s Kim and maybe this woman is her best friend, how I wish I could have someone like her.” I can’t help being quiet.
“Look at here Kath, that ugly woman! How impressive, she became top 1 and the first Princess to enter in this populous University among the ten princesses who was being chosen as leaders and most popular when in the first place we don’t even know her and besides among the twenty thousand students she’s the ugliest of us. Imagine, how rude it was? I can’t even accept the fact that a beautiful and rich woman like me was being replaced by an ugly duckling like her, we don’t need janitress here!” Kim said while pointing unto the huge bulletin board near us and in every corner of the school.
“Shit, Kim! Who’s that freaking girl? Scarlet Blue? Gosh girl, a lady in blue, what a beautiful name yet an opposite face, ha ha ha ha” I heard Kath blubbering and uttering my name so I came near with them to look after.
“What? Oh no! It can’t be possible, top 1 princess who got 100% in the school entrance examination?” I heard another woman beside me uttering such words.
“Wow! She’s adorable” another men came up until the whole area was covered with a huge crowd.
“Now that you’re all up here, let me introduce to you the ten Prince and Princesses who will be the leaders and your mentors here. I will read the names in ascending order, the first to be called will be the top 1 then top 2 and so forth. Please welcome the ten Princesses, Scarlet Blue Crimson, Kim Rodriguez, Kath Periwinkle, Keith Periwinkle, Golly Gold Garcia, Barbie Chui, Karoline Campion, Patricia Pink Palma, Baby Black Bartolome and Cindy Tan. The ten princess are Charl Cray, Dark Ruby Crimson, Rob Rodriguez, Chard Xia, Daryl Ong, Sky Padilla, Third Raj, Red Pascual, Dave Rolllio, and Mark Texas. Please those name called, come up here on stage for your acknowledgement” the emcee said gladly as she welcomed us all.
“Yuck! She doesn’t deserved the title, that nerdy one!” “She deserved it, this school is for the students who take the lass seriously not for that fucking popularity” “We don’t need unsteady woman like her” different criticisms contemn was hears everywhere.
As I walk down the stand, “boogsh!” I thought my head would crack or even cut into pieces due to the sudden hit of the ball on my jaw.
“ha ha ha ha” laughers was heard on my bashers again.
“I’m sorry miss, I didn’t mean to hurt you, it’s just that I couldn’t catch the ball, that’s why…..”
“It’s okay mister! No need to explain”
“But….” Before he could finish uttering a single word, I turn my back on and start walking as fast as I could but as I step my foot once, my eyeglasses was already broken and suddenly fall into the ground, I tried to get it but he’s faster than I thought.
“Here, Oh! It’s already broken, I’ll buy you one next time” slowly he said
“There’s no need to worry, I have thousands of eyeglasses at home” then I continue walking and tried to put another one as if nothing happens when he tried to talk again.
“I’m Charl” he said
I still continued to walk pretending not to hear him but he speak again,
“I said, I’m Charl”
“I know” I sarcastically replied
I thought he would stop but then he shouted again,
“I like you”
I stopped for a while to catch up some air, I was being hit by a magical words of him, my world stops turning. I can’t help it. So, I turn my head back and saw him holding a ball while saying,
“I really like your blue eyes”
Shit! I thought it’s something!
“Thank You” I replied shortly and ran towards my building.
Goodness gracious! Where would I find my classroom? I didn’t even get a call from the Dean.
I then entered the nearest eight story building as fast as I could. I wonder what would have happened to me here. What’s the use of having a class schedule when I don’t even know where my classroom was?
“This building is so cool huh! It’s really quiet in here. I wonder where the other students went?” murmuring with myself like a crazy woman, huh!
“Glass doors with glass windows and, wow! A beautiful guitar shaped pool is here and there’s a big pool out there and a locker also” I pointed my finger on a wide pool beside the guitar shaped one. In my thought I entered the wrong building, it’s the swimming area.
“What are you doing here?” A cold man’s voice was heard near me. I turn my head back and forth to search where that voice was but there’s nothing and no one to be found. I continued searching until I feel horrible and scared. I realized I was the only one in here.
“Are you looking for me? Suddenly a familiar face come out from the water.
“No I’m not?” sputter speaking
“Then why are you here?” He said arrogantly while looking for his towel right beside me.
“I’m a newbie here, I’m just being lost and I can’t find my classroom”
“I see, I can help you with that, can you give me my towel?”
“Of course, here”
“Kamsahamnida! Just wait here till I came back” then he left again.
How many times I tried to pinch my chicks to make sure if it was a dream or not but I only hurts, and I’m not really dreaming, till he came back again.
“What’s you’re building number?”
“Building? Uhm, I’m in a GAS department 12, room 143? I didn’t know where that was”
“Arasseo!” he shortly replied
“Wow! Are you a half breed? I mean half Korean? How did you know about that? Can you teach me some? Anyoung!”
“Tsk! So noisy, I’m not! I’m just fond of it okay, and it’s just a matter of studying! Contented?”
“Arasseo, Oppa” and then I glanced him once and smile.
“How about you? You’re not, right?
“Uhm, Uhm, Uhm,” sputter speaking
“Never mind”, he suddenly grab my hand and starts running.
“Wait, wait, wait, what are you doing?” I resist to get off his hand but,
“Shut up! You’re already five minutes late, I mean we are already, and it’s the best way we could.”
“So you mean, we’re in the same classroom w/ the same class schedule?”
“Stop talking nerd! I don’t like noisy people”
I don’t have any choice left so, better just shut up, and thankfully we’re already here in front of the glassed classroom. He entered first so I walk behind him. Wow! I can’t stop looking for this new fashioned classroom. All the things here were made of glasses and very much expensive.
“Okay, Miss Crimson Introduce yourself”
“Uhm, I’m scarlet Blue Crimson, seventeen years old, you can all me blue if you want. I hope we’ll be friends, komawoyo”
“Friends? In your dreams!” Kim shouted loudly
“If you have nothing else to say or ask, let’s now proceed. Miss Crimson, you can now sit beside Mr. Rodriguez” Mr. Destacamento said while pointing unto the vacant sit near Mr. Kpoper.
“No noise, understand? He said sarcastically.
After that boring class of him, it’s our vacant hour, so without much to think, instead of wasting such precious time, I went out to look for the library here and also to know more here. From the GAS department, then to the gymnast classroom, Science and technology, Tourism and so forth. I cross over twenty eight classrooms before I could reach that library. It takes thirty minutes to walk, that’s how big this school is. Actually, this University has the capacity of over twenty buildings and each buildings consists of almost thirty classrooms. There’s all and everything you need and wanted. And this whole area covers around twenty hectares all. Imagine an international school like that and also all the sons and daughters of successful business tycoons are there. Take note, You can’t enter this school as much as you wanted, It need more sacrifice like I did, granted I am a fully scholar here. So I have to grab this opportunity of mine.
And now, the library is kind of amazing as what I’ve expected, glass is everywhere. Different books, and also the reading area is very fantastic. There were also beautiful carving and paintings decorated in each corner, plus air conditioned.
I walk and roam around, I observe other students who keep on reading as well as students who were very busy dating and kissing in public areas and in different corners.
There’s this blue covered book which catches my interest. I tried to get it but I can’t. Even though how tall I am but still it can’t be reached. A long hand extend it first before I could. As I turned and checked for it, a long pointed nose touched mine which almost touches my lips. I can feel his fresh breath which causes my heart becomes wild. I didn’t expect it to happen though. All I did was to stop from breathing and continue to fell hid freshness. I can’t help being awkward. I can’t even utter a single word. My world stops. I can only witness the slow motion of all the things around us, his twinkling brown eyes and even his smooth, pink, kissable lips. I can’t survive seeing Charl’s face. If I continue to stop breathing obviously I would die for losing oxygen, then they would only think, cause of death, heart attack seeing a handsome prince.
“Thank You!” then I walk slowly outside the library to attend my next class schedule.
