Bad decision

Matthew slept through the night as he thought he would. Completely bypassed any sort of nightly ritual and slumped on his bed the second he got home and fell asleep when his head hit his pillow. He woke up to the natural light of the sun shining unfairly on his face, it was Saturday who cares about the morning? Nether the less he woke up, stretched his neck a bit and sat up in bed. Reaching for his phone he unlocked it to see a missed call from Kaiden, he thought he might as well save the number just in case anyone went through his phone. Creepy Stalker might've set off a few alarms.

Sorry I was asleep

I know

Um... okay? So what's up?

What's up?

Yeah?

I just wanted to talk baby

Are the nicknames really necessary?

Is the fact that you're so cute really necessary?

No?

I take it back, I like it when you're cute.

Dude

  Baby. Anyway about yesterday...

Yeah um thanks for that again by the way

Of course darling, anything for you, I was just wondering why you don't hang around with people who can afford to pay for your meal.

Matthew felt the judgement coming through the phone, it felt more like self entitlement and cockiness rather than judgement. It pissed him off, he was about to reply and tell Kaiden where to go but then he thought of something.

Actually I have this other friend, his name is Derek. He's a family friend. You just reminded me that he's invited me to go to Jamie Oliver's new restaurant that opened last week. It's so thoughtful of him considering how poor the rest of us are.

Matthew smirked as he clicked send, that should show him. Who does this boy think he is criticizing his friends like that? At least none of them were stalking and possibly murderous dicks. Well at least he got his own back in his own way,he laughed to himself, Kaiden must be pissed. Wait.

Fuck.

Kaiden must be pissed.

In a too perfect timing to be coincidental, Matthew's phone started to ring. Kaiden.

Matthew looked down at the screen for a second or two before deciding to answer, better face his anger now than have to deal with it later. He answered the phone.

"Who the fuck is Derek?"

Matthew mentally scolded himself for being so stupid, aggravate your stalker because that was sure to go well.

"I told you. He's a family friend." Might as well go along with it now.

"I know everything about you, there's no Derek in you're life."

"Clearly you don't know everything about me then."

A tense silence followed and Matthew slowly walked to his window, irrationally feeling that somehow seeing someone out there would make him safer. He padded softly across his room, his footsteps seeming a lot a louder compared to the stark silence over the phone. He started thinking of ways to calm this guy down, Matthew had no idea what this guy was capable of. Then it hit him. He had no idea what this guy was capable off, all he knew was that he had money. Yeah he might've been a bit of a stalker but he's never acted aggressively to Matthew and he's only ever claimed to be a murderer. There's no proof of that. And besides what sort of professional criminal gives their name to their victim? This all had to be some sort of game, some low life teenager somewhere getting Matthew's number from someone else and acting like some serious psycho killer. Maybe Matthew could prove that this wasn't serious.
