A Change in Perspective

Kaiden had left and the rest of the night passed suspiciously quickly, the time spent with the other man was something Matthew couldn't get his mind of off. He was becoming alarmingly comfortable with Kaiden. Especially considering how terrified he was of him. And that he was stalking him. And that he actually didn't know anything about the man. Except for his education. And that he was a stalker.

A stalker. Matthew was being stalked. A sudden feeling of dread filled Matthew as he realised the situation he was in and who he had just let into his house. He didn't tell anyone that Kaiden was coming over. He knew he couldn't say Kaiden was there but he could've lied and told his parents someone with Kaiden's description was coming round. Kaiden could've done anything to him. Matthew could've been in serious danger. How could he have been so stupid?

Before he knew it, Matthew was in bed and ready to sleep. His parents had checked to see if he was okay after they came home and that was the last he spoke to anyone. He didn't want to go downstairs and see his parents. He didn't know whether he would be able to look them in the eye after letting a stalker into their house.

As Matthew lay in bed, the only light in the room coming from the crack from under the door, he couldn't help but worry he had put his parents in danger. Obviously Kaiden knew where he lived prior to the visit, or the date, whatever he was supposed to call it, but there was something about willingly letting him in the house that seemed far more...

Personal?  Matthew asked himself. No that wasn't the right word.
Dangerous? Was true but not the word Matthew was looking for.
Intimate? That's it. Something about letting Kaiden into his house seemed far more intimate than anything he had done before. It showed an escalation in whatever was happening between the two of them. Matthew was sure that this wasn't a good thing.

Unaware of the two hours that had passed, Matthew's eyes started to get heavy and his body slowly relaxed as he eventually fell asleep. He was in a deep slumber when his phone vibrated on the table next to him.

The sunlight that streamed through the windows woke Matthew up early the next morning, he had forgotten to close them and was now suffering the consequences.
He groaned and rolled onto his back, his arm shielding his eyes from the bright light.
He looked to his side, his alarm clock read 5:19 AM. Way too early to be awake. He debated going back to sleep but soon decided that the effort it would take to get up and close the curtains wasn't worth it. He decided instead to waste some time on his phone.

He mindlessly patted the bed around him before remembering he had put his phone on charge the night before. He leant over slightly to grab the device and unlocked it. His stomach dropped when he realised he had an unanswered message from Kaiden. He opened the text and a feeling of nausea swept over him.

Attached to the message were pictures of him getting ready for bed and finally falling asleep. Below the images there was a text that read

'I had a great time, next time I choose the location.
Sleep well.'

How the fuck did he get those pictures? They look like they were taken from his window but how the hell would Kaiden get there. Not only was a difficult climb but surely someone would've seen him. He couldn't have taken that risk. Although very much afraid, the image of Kaiden clinging to the side of his house was quite funny. As he thought about it he began to find it less and less funny, the idea that Kaiden was just outside of his window where anyone could see him and yet he still didn't get caught scared Matthew. The idea of him just watching Matthew without the blonde having any idea absolutely terrified him.

Matthew unconsciously got out of bed and walked towards his window, he remembered that he hadn't closed his blinds that night so Kaiden could've seen into his window quite easily. But surely that meant that Matthew would've seen him? Someone must've seen him.

A vibration from his phone snapped Matthew of his head and he looked down at the device still firmly gripped in his hand, Kaiden had messaged him again. He didn't want to know what the boy said. Matthew threw his phone onto his bed and started to get ready for school, he was going to deal with whatever the situation was with Kaiden later.
