royal woods elementary was a small school, packed with many students waiting for release from its doors, but there were two students more anxious than the rest of them, and those two where ronnie-anne and lincoln, they were a few minutes from the bell, and lincoln drummed his fingers impatiently on the table, he could barely hear Mrs. Johnson's lesson over his thoughts, his thought of where his date with Ronnie-Anne should be, flip's, not likely, juans french mex, maybe, but he'd have to spend a lot of money, money he didn't have, but there where other options, such as gus's games and grub, that was always a good option, but he wasn't sure how she felt about it, sure, they had good food, and they had entertainment, but it wasn't excactly fancy, then again, it was the only place in his price range, besides his dads resturant, but he wasn't excactly fond of the idea of his dad taking their order, and walking over to them while they where kissing...
*beeeeeeeeepp*
lincoln shot up like a rocket, and left the classroom, along with the other students, he dropped by his locker, and grabbed his backpack, he raced out the door, and down the steps, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, opening it revealed two $10 bills and a $5, enough for a medium pizza, two small milkshakes, and 10 bucks for games, his ideal night, but was it hers, probably, she was a tomboy after all
Ronnie-Anne spotted Lincoln at the bottom of the stairs, she ran down to him, and startled him when she asked where they were going
"uh, I was thinking Gus's, it's kinda the only place other than my dads that I can afford" he sheepishly replied
"cool, I like Gus's anyway" she responded cheerily, sending a wave of relief through Lincoln
"Shall we then," he asked, holding out his elbow in a fancy manor"
"we shall, however, we shall not hold elbows, this ain't the 19th century
"right.." Lincoln trailed, they began their walk, both walking slower than they usually would, as to spend more time together, Ronnie-Anne's phone buzzed, and she pulled it out, it was her mother, she answered, and put it on speaker
"hey mom"
"where are you, are you with that boy"
"yes, I'm with Lincoln"
"ooh, are you two on a date, are you dating"
"no, mom, we're not dating, and it's not a date"
"Awww, that's too bad, he's such a nice young boy"
"ok, bye mom," she said loudly, before hanging up the phone
"what do you mean 'not a date'" Lincoln asked, stopping, and crossing his arms
"would you tell your sisters that were dating"? Ronnie-Anne asked
"no" he replied
"And why is that," she asked
"because they go ape-shit over things like that"
"yeah, my mom is just like that," she said, kicking some pebble on the sidewalk, before continuing to their destination

"Hello, welcome to Gus's games and grub, will it be the usual Lincoln"? carol Pingrey asked, not bothering with the menu since he ordered the same thing every time
they sat at a small booth of in the corner, keeping away from the messiest of the children, and instead, sitting in an area that was un-officially know as the teen zone because that's where all of them chose, and parents kept their children away from them to avoid swearing and flirting
