you're my favourite constellation

It was 2am on a wednesday in the middle of winter, the air was cold and the moon was at its prime, most people would be asleep by now; apart from the couple that sat on the balcony covered in blankets to fight the harsh cold that hit them. they were staring up at the sky then at each other in a loving gaze.

"it's really nice out here isn't it?" the blonde said, staring into brunettes eyes for a quick moment until quickly looking up at the sky in awkwardness. she really loved this girl, and all she really ever wanted to do was be around her. just being around her now made her feel at bliss, as if she could just stay in the moment forever and let the world pass round her.

"yeah" the brunette responded softly, melting at the site of the girl beside her. they never got to spend much time together because of work, so every moment they spent together they cherished.

"hey clem?"

"hm?"

"do you see that in the sky ?" she asked pointing up to the sky, where there were a lot of stars festering around.

"no, what is it ?" she responds, still in a calming state but with a slight bit of confusion mixed in too.

she continues to point at the sky but is now using her finger to draw out what she's seeing in hopes that her loved one sees what she is seeing right now.

clementine looked hard out into the sky; which now that she was looking at realised that everything in the sky shone brightly this night, it was almost as if the sky wanted to people to admire and gaze upon it. she starts to imitate violets actions hoping that she could be able to see what's being displayed above her. she first starts by creating a triangle-- then a line-- then another triangle

"it's a cat! it's a cat" clementine shouts proudly hoping to be praised for finally figuring it out.

"yep, it sure is cutie" violet says back, giving her the praise that she wanted.

it took a long time for violet to be able to compliment and praise her girlfriend, when they were first together she had a tough time trying to open up to her favourite fruit, but as the years have gone past she's realised that clementine is her to stay and that makes violet happy, really happy.

clem now starts to shift her head so that her head is now resting on violets stomach; at first, it was uncomfortable for violet but she had grown used to it by now. clem enjoyed resting up against the person she loved. it made her feel safe and protected.

"what do you think a cat constellation means ?" clem says rotating her head up slightly so that she can see her in her vision.

"well, if i had to guess--" the blonde went on trying to think of what a cat constellation meant because she honestly had no idea, but wanted to seem smart in front of her.

"i believe the cat is someone who is vicious to some but cute and cuddly to others, loves sleep, food and lots of attention" she says looking down at her, resting her hand on top of her head to pat it gently.

"it kind of reminds me of you" clementine goes with a giddy voice.

"does not, if anything its you. i mean, look at you, youre literally nestled as close as you can to me and i try my hardest to avoid attention !" violet says back laughing in the process.

"oh really now? im the cat here? if i get one chicken nugget you instantly swipe it out of my hand, and you're vicious to everyone but me" clementine retaliates back jokingly, still nuzzled into her stomach; however, now she has her eyes closed.

"fine, we're both kitty cats !" violet says hatching up something for clem

"and do you know what kitty cats like--" violet continues slowly moving her hands to clemmys stomach--

"hm? what do we like?" clemmy says half awake, half asleep. the effect of staying up till 2am with violet was starting to take a toll on her. it was worth it though.

"TICKLES !!" vi goes before tickling the poor girls stomach, causing her to start laughing hysterically and roll around on the floor trying to get out of the blondes grip. Vi wasn't that strong but she was at a disadvantage with being tickled and all. eventually violete got tired of tickling clem and was on top of her.

"you know vi, you're really cute. fuck all of the stars around here, you're my star, youre my favourite constellation" clem goes, kissing Violet making her turn a deep shade red.

violet just looked at her in shook. did she really just say im better than all of the stars in the world? is all she could think before snapping back into reality.

"i-if im better than the stars, then youre better than the whole sun, and we need that to survive. i need you to survive" she says back, staring deep into her beautiful hazel eyes.

clem now starts to sit back up yawning in the process, staring at nyc and how quiet it is.

"it's peaceful like this, i love it at this time. it feels as if were the only one here and im so glad to have you here with me"

"well, you may love it but its also having a toll on you. how about i get some more blankets and we stay out here for tonight?"

"that'd be nice"

violet rushes back with blankets and a few pillows, only to find that clementine has fallen asleep. she props the pillows underneath her head and places more blankets over her to prevent her from the coldness. After this she plops a little kiss on her forehead.

"goodnight clementine" she says smiling.

a/u hey ! this is my first time ever writing something like this so please tell me if there is anything i need to improve on. i know that this is really mushy, this is just the first situation i can think of when i think of them two.
