After the party

Coles pov

I had just left the party and was waiting in the taxi. Lili would be out any second. Soon the girl of whom I was dating was leaning over to kiss me as we got into the taxi. The ride home was peaceful, we sat in a comfortable silence Lili resting her head on me. I could hear the steady rhythm of her breathing and feel the gentle rise and fall of her chest from the arm I had across it.

I began to think, that's when it dawned on me. The girls will have most likely asked Lili the same questions as me, I know she will tell you anything when she is drunk. I knew that I couldn't really ask Lili about it now and she wasn't likely to remember a detail like that by tomorrow. Maybe that's all this party was, I pondered on the subjects. Thoughts buzzing back and forth in my head.

The taxi drew to a stop and I thanked the driver. I gently lifted Lili's head and slipped out the side of the car door round to the other side to help Lili up.

"Hey coley" she muttered into my neck as we walked towards the apartment where I was staying, "why am I here?"

I realised that I he had taken us both back to my place, I guess I forgot to ask him to stop at Lili's too. It was probably for the best anyway, so I replied with a simple "because, I didn't want to leave you at yours alone"

Lili dint say anything back since she was already half asleep as we entered the apartment. I gently laid her down on the bed and took off her heels.

"Cole" a sleepy voice called after me

"yes?"

"thank you... and,"

"yeah"

"You will stay in here with me right"

"of course, babe"

I went out and put her shoes by the side of the door, walked bac into the room and snuggled up to Lili. This was where I felt truly comfortable, I felt happy and safe, like I could do anything when I had Lili in my arms I always felt on top of the world.

Lili's pov

I woke up the day after with a dreadful headache but turned over to see a glass of water with some tablets on the bedside table. It made my heart smile, I rolled back over Cole was gone, however his side of the bed was still warm.

I stayed lying in bed until I felt decent enough to get ready. Realising I had only my skirt and to from last night I stole one of Coles oversized hoodies and wondered out of the room to find Cole sitting on the sofa with a plate of breakfast on the side almost Identical to the one in his hand.

"Thank you," I whispered as I kissed the top of his head.
