"ORAAAAA!" I yelled at the top of my lungs imitating a Jojo character as I clicked at my mouse. My name is Rin, 18 years old and I live a happy life... in Earth. Where else would I be at, right? I slammed my desk to sight of 'Game Over' in my computer screen. Sighing I migrated onto my fluffy bed covered in anime body pillows, immersing my self in the softness of my bed as I was swallowed whole. Looking around my room, my room sure is entertaining, at least for a person like me who games and watches anime every possible chance I get. This life style is what led me to have my room walls plastered with posters from MangaCon or First Person Shooter games. These posters do a great job of standing out using my room's peach walls as contrast balance. Like a normal teenager, I go to school as well, and I'm pretty popular at school for being a slacker, but the teachers can never say anything since I get one of the best grades in the school. I enjoy playing video games, wearing hoodies and hanging out friends. One thing I absolutely hate, is my dad.
He's a genius scientist who's working on a way to save the world, at least a way to keep me alive. I've argued many times with him that I have already accepted the fate of our planet. Climate change causing extreme weathers, random thick clouds of smoke which are toxic, and the occasional earthquakes. All these are slowly eating away at the lifespan of our planet, and now a huge planet which has been attracted to Earth's gravitation pull and is soon to collide with this dying planet. My dad still had so much hope that humanity can overcome this catastrophe, which is exactly the opposite of my mindset. I don't have a drop a hope left in me, and I don't mind it to be this way, were all going to die someday anyways, it wouldn't make the slightest difference for the day our lives are due to be sooner.
The scratches and wobbles were loud beneath my room, as there was a basement in which my dad was working on some project to help us survive. The eerie sounds echoed throughout the silent house, the noises of work being an exception. I let out a long sigh, and sat back up on my bed. The world is ending, might as well make the most of the time left playing games and watching anime. Making my way towards my desk, I felt a hint of hesitation. I wonder if I should spend more time with my dad while I have the time, he's been working hard for the past year, just for my own well being and out of love. Regret is a strong emotion, an emotion which I was extremely prone to. I reached for my hood and placed it over my head as I reached for my mouse. I hovered over the mouse for a bit, trying to make a decision between games or my one and only family. Reaching out further, my hand approached the mouse-
Before I could touch the mouse, the house shook. No, the entire world did. At first I thought that this was just the occasional earthquake, but I had a bad feeling about this. It wasn't just the strong shaking beneath my feet, but the air itself felt heavy. I could feel the buckling of my knees as I struggled to maintain balance. A sudden huge quake shook my room causing me to fall over. Swinging my arms in front of me, I attempted to soften my landing but failed miserably. With a loud thump, my head crashed onto the wooden floors. My balance was competently useless amongst this violent event. I held my breath as I saw my monitor slide off the desk and grew closer towards my head. Grunting, I threw my own body out of the way, landing awkwardly on my elbow, as I heard the shattering noise of the screen smashing into a million pieces. Then, everything stopped, as if it was the calm before the storm, and I was right. A frightening speck of darkness appeared in my very room. Tiny, yet cunning, my fear levels were reaching its limit just by the sight of it. It's pure darkness was just black, so empty that it looked like a hole in space. The world elongated, and I felt myself being sucked closer to the black singularity. The posters on my walls were getting ripped off and absorbed by the singularity, my bed was dragged across the room making a loud screeching noise as it grinded along the floors. Eventually even such a heavy object was swallowed whole. I screamed as I closed in on the hole in space, and right on time, my dad along with a suited man burst into my room only to stop by the door as they saw the situation. I caught my dad's eyes, and all I saw was pure horror. I'm not sure if it was just my sight fooling me, or if it was really happening but when I looked down on my body, I knew why my dad was making that pathetic expression. My own body was becoming elongated, as if I was was being spaghettified. I tried to scream again, but it sound wouldn't come out of my mouth. The hole was sucking everything up, light, sound and myself. All I could do was stare in horror as my legs become completely spaghettified and are being sucked into the hole. I quickly mouthed help towards my dad, then towards the man next to him. I saw my dad make a move, but was stopped by the suited man. The suited man's expression wasn't visible to me, but I swear that I could make up a slight smirk on the man's face. Almost my entire body had been sucked into the hole already, and this process felt like it was taking hours. My vision was slowly getting covered in dark spots. If I was going to die, I wanted to make my dad know that I lived a happy life. I don't want to regret anymore than I already have, so with my final struggle, I managed to make a peace sign with my right hand as I was vision became completely dark.
The feeling of coldness surrounded my body. The atmosphere was ice cold, and I couldn't see anything. For a second I thought I'd gone blind, but I have a theory that it is not the case. I think there's just absolutely nothing around me. The darkness had encased me in this prison of black where the silence, oh the silence itself was torturous. A needle drop from a kilometre away could be heard here. Wait... where is here?
