Previously in Into The Depths: "My only thoughts at this point was is this how I perish from the world, is this how I die, and what I'm remembered as...?

The boy who went to the water and fell in and drowned...."

I fell deeper into the ocean water filling my lungs as I struggled to reach the surface my hand extended to the surface of the water as my world became black.

Before I knew it I woke on the front lawn coughing water spewing from my mouth and out of my lungs. The headmaster sat before me a worried expression. A sigh of relief left those around me lips.

It was both a blessing and a cures for me to still be alive in the world I had tried to leave multiple times. I looked up at the headmaster weakly. Till this day I remember the stern and fear filled look on his face. He did say anything when he lifted me up in his arms carrying me off to the infirmary.

I don't remember much after that minus waking up once more to see the headmaster in the room with me looking out the window. Hands gently behind his back. He noticed me stirring when he looked at me. He had smiled.

I never expected to see him see him smile I expected him to be yelling at me by now. I had expected a punishment. I couldn't look at him. I felt ashamed, like a disobedient animal that just got caught by its master doing something wrong.

I remember clearly the words he spoke to me. They were gentle, chosen wisely, but stern, and hinted with disappointment.
"I knew you would disobey me sooner or later but I never expected you to get in the water.... Why did you... go in the ocean? When you know you can't swim..."

It confused me by what he meant by this but alas he had asked me a question and I was expected to answer truthfully. So instead of creating a lie I told him the truth, no matter how crazy it seemed, I told him.
"I was turning back to go back to the orphanage when I was shoved hard into the water by a force that wasn't there." My response was quick and I couldn't bare to look him in the eyes. Especially with how ridiculous that sounded.

He looked at me, I could tell he was. I could feel his eyes boring into the side of my head as a stared down at my hands.

"An invisible force.....?" He had questioned. It was more curious than anything.
"Yes."
"Laviticus, do you know what those invisible forces are?" His question has baffled me. I had looked up at him to find him staring out the window. His question was like he believed me. It was strange to me to hear him ask it. I thought he would call me crazy or at least laugh at me. This was quite the opposite of what I was expecting.

"No." My reply was short and he could hear the curiosity in my voice.

"Well I believe it's time you know... Those invisible things are called an Aquticas. They are visible only in salt water. While on land they are invisible. Unless they have an amulet to help them be seen on land. They are very dangerous for you Laviticus, they are one of the reasons you are not allowed in the ocean."
"One of the reasons? You mean there is more than one reason?"
"In due time Laviticus, in due time..."

I had frowned at that. Of course he would be secretive with the rest of it and if there was something else out there trying to kill me, I wanted to know. But he had kept the secrets of it all from me. For years.

Many other times I had done the same rebellious thing and each time I was almost in the water. I never was shoved back in but almost ended up in the murky sea water, I had grown to hate so much. But each time I had gone close to the water he was always there to stop me from going in.
