The pounding on the wall woke me up before I could even hear my alarm. A divorced family didn't stop the fights.
I was moving in with my mother in a bigger city not far from here. I was absolutely sick of the woods.
"Serenity! Get your bags and get in the car!" Mom yelled. "I'm on my way!"
I never spoke much. I suppose when you're heartbroken enough the deadly silence- the never ending thoughts- let's the pure quietness creeps in.
I walked from my bedroom which was on the second floor of our small town house in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I tugged at my creaking door that would sometimes get stuck in place because of the rusted hinges. With a loud crack it swayed and I gently shut it. I swung the duffel bag over my left shoulder and sighed.
"Maybe one day I'll be back." And with that I looked at my Cullen's background on my iPhone to check the time,
17:50
Finally I guessed it was time for me to leave, I took a step forward and I suddenly felt a warm tear slowly creep down my face. I shut my eyes, looked up towards the ceiling and took a deep breath. The tears went away, so I kept walking.
"Serenity. Look at me." Dad hastily said as I held the front door handle about to walk out "Yes?" I looked over my shoulder,
"You-" he paused looking down. "You come around whenever you want.. Alright?" He finished and with a nod of my head I walked out the door to my new life.
In the red Chevrolet I turned up the music and cranked down the window on my side. With "kryptonite" playing in the background I closed my eyes and let the wind play with my long brown hair.
I was tired from today so all I did was sleep, hopefully until we arrived at our new home, car rides made me feel sick. Plus I wasn't ready for the change that was happening..

.. But I wasn't ready for the change that would guide my life on a different path in the very near future either.
