Hey all of you wonderful people who have stumbled across this book :)Xx hope you enjoy :)
Chapter One
*GEMMA'S POV*
I slammed my locker door shut, still asleep from waking up this morning. After all, it is the first day of school. I am in no mood for anyone's crap today. May the lord Jesus help anyone who bothers me.
I turned around to see Jeremy, my best friend flaunting his undoubtedly charming smile
"Hayyyyy Gemma, ready to head to the most torturous thing that we are forced to do called class?" Jeremy slung his arm around my shoulder and turned his head towards me revealed his straight and almost artificially white teeth.
"Yeah, just let me head by the office first" I smiled back at him as I slid under his arm
"Well I'm not sure about you, but I have biology first. I think..." Jeremy pulled out his planner inspecting it as he stroked his stubbly chin with his soft fingers. "Nope, I'm wrong. Biochemistry it is! Oh, the joys Gemma the Joys!" Jeremy dramatically moved down the hallway waving his hands in the air before quickly readjusting his bowtie and movie slickly down the hallway, making sure to attract a hell of a lot of eyes, especially from the girls. Such a theatre geek.
Jeremy is not your stereotypical nerd; he has honey-golden hair, a tall muscular body, and a perfect smile. No doubt he was attractive, and whenever a girl hangs with me, it's usually just so I can set them up with Jeremy.
I walked down the humid and crowded halls of East Bentley High towards the office, making sure to not attract any attention, contrary to Jeremy.
The school office was small, mostly taken up by the small set of red chairs and the desk, which was occupied by a small, blonde haired lady.
"Hello dear, what can I do for you?" The blonde lady asked.
"I'm just here to pick something up for my Aunt" I live with my Aunt. I'm still a little in the dark as to why but I'm sure it was for my own benefit. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't become curious about them every now and again but whenever I asked my aunt about them, she'd always end up in tears, so as I grew older, I guess I just learnt not to ask.
"Ok sure love, let me just head out the back and check for you"
I was going to be late for Bio-Chem and that really did piss me off.
My butt hit the uncomfortable seats as I waited for the package. The glass door opened, letting a swish of humid air contaminate the well air-conditioned office.
"Is there seriously no one here on the first day of school? How fucking crap" I heard the bell that sat on the front desk ring multiple times.
I brought my head out from my book I was reading and looked up at the boy standing at the desk, he was tall, muscular and had black hair with dark brown eyes. He must be new. The words 'please' and 'thank you' seemed to be absent in his vocabulary. Needless to say, he was very attractive.
The boy, or should I say man rolled his eyes and sat beside me, slouching down while looking at the ceiling. I continued to stare up at his perfectly defined face. That is until he looked at me.
"Honey? You've got a little drool there on your lip" He winked at me and brought his hands to his leather jacket, pulling out his phone. I scowled and shook my head.
"Oh come on babe, It's just a joke"
"Don't call me babe" one thing I hate is when a guy assumes he can play any girl he wants. Ten minutes into the first day of school and I'm already pissed off. this guy will be answering to Jesus. As I said earlier, may the lord help anyone who bothers me today.
"Fine, you don't like being called babe, I'm gonna call you sweet cheeks" A smirk appeared on his face as he relaxed into the chair.
"Astor Cesar?" The receptionist called. So his name was Astor. Lord, he seemed unbearable despite his attractiveness.
Astor slowly strutted up to the counter, leaning his elbows on the stone cold desk. "Here's your timetable, you've got bio-chem first in room M3." She gave him a friendly smile as he snatched the timetable from her and walked out the door. What a fabulous start to the school year.
