If she knew that grandma was the reason why I have a busted lip would she still worry about me? That was the only thing going through my head. When mom was leading me inside house, I turned back to take one last look at my dad before I left and he never did look up at me.

After mom bandaged me up, she sent me home with food for eons. I won't complain since her food is the best. Thoughts just kept going through my head, there had to be a better explanation why he got so upset. It couldn't be because I raised my voice at him. Could it be because he was possibly hiding something from me, from the whole family?

I grabbed the camera she gave me closed my eyes and whispered, "July 25, 2016," the day before her unwanted death. I open my eyes to be standing in front of her house. Quickly I turn invisible and began to examine everything. I watched her throughout the day and nothing suspicious occurred. So with this I make my way into the farmers market 3 blocks away, and that's when I noticed a teenage boy and girl, they seemed like best friends. You could tell that he was in love with her. The way he looked at her, it was his eyes that revealed the truth. She was oblivious to his feelings, thinking he saw her as just a friend.

That was when I saw a trailer of kiwis rolling down the hill. It was heading straight to the boy, so I ran as fast as I possibly could and grabbed the girl and helped get the boy out of the way. With that I was left, still invisible I stood as still as I could to stop the trailer. Everyone was praising that no one got hurt, and some were gossiping about how odd the trailer stopped by itself.

I went back to the teens to make sure everything was fine, but instead of them still on the ground, I saw them up on both feet, hugging each other afraid of ever letting go. I walked away after because I knew from there that they were going to stay with each other for as long time will let them. As long as fate wants their two souls aligned.

Even with the odd event, I was still able to buy a watermelon for grandma. On the walk back to her house, it was peaceful. The birds chirping, children playing at the little park, and dogs barking at the sense of me. Everything was perfect. I placed the vast watermelon softly on the swing. From there I rang the doorbell and stood in front of the door, waiting patiently to see her. I thought about all the things I wanted to tell her, so that was my plan. To tell her everything that has happened since she passed away, knowing that none of this will reflect or change anything, I just thought maybe this time she could hear my voice this time.

She opened the door and I saw her. It was opening a gift you always wanted and you finally received it.

"Hi, grandma. I got this watermelon for you. I know you love them. It's seedless, so you can just cut it and eat it without need to spit out the seeds," I smiled at her.

She walked out grabbed the watermelon and I hurried and snuck in. I greeted all three of her cats, Simba, Pancha, and Zoey. I sat on the couch, and Simba came to lay next to me. I thought back of how the aura is so distinct. The smell is so programmed in me that I can just tell that it's her. That it only belongs to her. I recollect all the nights I spent here with her and how much fun it was. How happy I once was.

"I hope you have been fine. It's been tough the last three years, but I am managing. I'm finally a real photographer. Just like you always wanted. You know that you're the reason why I keep pushing through everything. In the hard time when I want to give up, I tend to think of what you would tell me in the situation. When I first started college, I was so anxious, that was until I remembered what you would always tell me in each beginning of the school year, 'make friends, but not as cool as you.' That was what made college easier for me. So thank you," I explained.

I went on and on about what has happen for the past three long years. Told her how grandpa remarried and nobody in the family likes her. How people tell me to give her a chance when all I knew is that only he was made for you. He wasn't made for anyone else, that my grandma and him are supposed to be together forever. Ever since I was little, it was you and him, nobody else could tear you apart, but death won.

I stayed up all night to make sure everything was well.

Everything she did in the morning was the same as always. She got up, went to the bathroom, got a glass of sweet iced tea that was just the right sweetness, and then into the living room to sit on her recliner and just watch TV, but this day July 25, she got an unexpected visit.

"Son, what brings you here to see an ugly old lady like me?" my grandma scoffed.

"Kalea and I have been talking, we don't think it's good for V to live here with you and go to college. We were thinking that maybe he could stay with us. We are his parents," my dad said.

"I pretty much raised him. I made him the man he is today. Just because you are his true parents doesn't mean he can't choose where to live. He is 25 now, if he wants to live here with me then that's up to him, but you can't tell me that I have to turn him down just because you guys are finally ready to parent him." my grandma fired back.

They kept at this until my father eventually left. My grandma was mad, something I had never seen. Even as a small child she always kept her cool. I didn't understand why it got under her skin. So I got the courage to stop being invisible and face reality. I need to say everything I didn't get the chance to tell her before.

"Hey grandma. I missed you!" I exclaimed.

"Sweetie! How did you get in here? You were so quiet." She smiled, while hugging.
