hi! sorry... It's been about a month since I've updated. Only 16 days until school is out though.

-

A few weeks had finally passed and I've learned so much about the cute boy that is sitting across from me.

We were currently at dinner before we went to the homecoming dance. He was wearing a tailored white button up with a black bow-tie and black dress pants.

Forrest looked incredibly handsome.

And me, I was wearing the dress he had picked out for me with the accessories and shoes we had gotten.

I liked the feeling of us being with each other.

We haven't slept with each other again, I think I'm just looking for a commitment before I just throw myself at him again.

Maybe I should be the one asking for more?

But I am his tutor...what if we didn't last?

I sighed and took a bite of the chicken I was eating. He looked at me curiously, "are you okay, em?"

I'm gonna do it.

"I don't want to ruin the night just yet, Forrest. There's just something on my mind," I tell him honestly.

He reaches for my hand across the table, "you won't ruin it. What's up?"

I'm gonna do it.

"What are we?" I blurt out.

He looked at me, "damn it Em."

I took my hand out of his and set it in my lap, "What?"

He ran a hand through his hair and smiled, "I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend at the dance."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"I'm sorry for ruining it," I tell him as I play with the food on my plate with a fork.

He reaches out for my hand again, "Emma, you didn't ruin anything. I'll do it now." He clears his throat and looks me deeply into the eyes, "Emma Adams, will you be my girlfriend?"

I smile, "I'd love to."

He smiled back at me, "glad that is settled then."

We finish dinner and start to drive to the dance as boyfriend and girlfriend. I felt nervous for some reason, and I didn't know why. Would he immediately start introducing me as his girlfriend?

I fiddle with my corsage he had gotten me and his hand reaches across and places it on my knee and I become normal again.

His touch almost is healing.

We park and head inside the school where tons of kids are piling through the doors. Before we get inside he pulls he to the side and whispers, "before we head in let me do this," he kisses me gently before letting go, "let's go girlfriend."

I smile and take his hand as we go to the commons where the dance was being held.

"So when do I properly get to meet your family now? I mean I met your mom but I want to meet the rest of the family."

"We can arrange a dinner for next week, how about that?"

He kisses my forehead, "sounds perfect. Now let's dance."

We dance to a couple of songs before a slow song finally came on and we slow danced to it while being close up on each other.

"Do you want to spend the night at mine?" He asks.

I nod, "I'd love to."

We head off the dance floor after the song is over and we bump into my brother and ivy, "hey guys." I say.

Colton looks at Forrest, "hey man, are you Forrest?"

Forrest nods and holds his hand out for him to shake, "Yes, nice to meet you. I've heard lots about you."

Colton looks at me and rolls his eyes and Ivy moves in front, "hi, I'm ivy! Its so nice to meet you."

"You too," Forrest tells her.

"Alright we got to go they're about to do king and queen, we are hoping Claire wins tonight, bye guys!" Ivy says as she pulls Colton away into the crowd forming at the stage.

I lean into Forrest and yawn. He looks down at me, "you want to get out of here?"

I groan, "yes please these shoes are killing me."

He smiles and we walk towards the exit. "Here, stop." He tells me. He then proceeds to pick me up bridal style and carry's me to the car.

"My Knight and shining armor has saved me alas," I tell him.

He laughs and opens the car door for me and I get in.

He gets into the driver's seat and looks at me, "so girlfriend..."

"So boyfriend..." I said slowly.

He fiddled with the corsage that is on my wrist, "you hungry?"

I shrug, "I mean I could go for a milkshake or something. But I want to get out of this dress, I have clothes in my bag in the back."

He nods and I climb into the back and pull the dress off slowly as I see him watching me from the mirror window, "take a picture, it lasts longer."

"If I took a picture of you taking your clothes off it would be my screensaver forever."

I roll my eyes and pull a sweatshirt on that I had stolen from Forrest a week or two ago. I had nike pros on already so I left those on for my pants. I mean is there anyone really out at midnight anyways?

I climb back into the passenger seat and put my moccasins on, "okay done."

He smiles and places a hand on my thigh, "you look adorable in my sweatshirt."

I giggle, "you'll probably never get it back."

He sighs, "of course," and puts the car in reverse and drives to the diner. Once we get there we get out and walk hand in hand inside.

It felt nice to have a label.

And I really feel like this could actually go somewhere.
