Contact. I wasn't really used to that. That is strictly forbidden at J. Williams Boarding School, where I will be attending for another year and a half.
Which brings me to another question; why am I here right now? I look around and all I see is booze, drugs, sluts, and hungry boys. If it were up to me, I'd be at home reading a book or picking out a dress for the Spring Fling Dance, which I don't have a date to, by the way. But, it wasn't up to me as to whether I could be here or not, it was Ellie's choice.
When I first moved to this school this year, I had expected to just survive the rest of my two years left of high school and get a 4.0 average without any distractions.
But, around the second week of my junior year, Ellie had sat at my lunch table and we have been joined at the hip ever since. Polar opposites, I haven't the slightest clue as to why she picked me.
She had always tried to drag me to all these little parties she went to, but I always had something 'come up.' I'm not really sure why I finally gave in and came to this party with her.
"Alaska, right?" I snapped out of my thoughts and look up to see dark, curly hair, emerald eyes, and a drink in each hand, one extended towards me.
"Uh, yes." I sit there, trying not to make it obvious that I was staring. why was he so captivating? "Good," he says with a smirk. Why is that good?
I finally take the cup. Completely unaware of what it contained, I took a big swig. I wrinkled my nose when the warm taste of Coke and rum hit my tongue. I am not a drinker. I so bad wanted to spit it out, but I didn't in fear of this boy making fun of me.
"And your name is?" I said nonchalantly, as if just by him standing beside me wasn't making me melt. "I'm Harry." I could smell the rum on his British accent, which made me want him even more. Woah, what has gotten into me? I have never acted this way before.
I didn't realize, but my cup was already empty and I had started to sway a little. I hadn't noticed Harry staring at me until he leaned in and whispered, "Do you wanna get out of here?"
I was supposed to wait for Ellie, but she ditched me as soon as we got here, so why should I? I saw two shots on the coffee table, so I downed then and grabbed Harry's arm.
