Never again will I travel by air. The long nauseating hours were more than enough.

The plane ride over to Norway was never one I expected to take. The counsel requesting my presence was beyond me.

I have never been more nervous in all my life. My father never caused me worry only hurt and hurt can be pushed down and hidden away from view.

Please fasten yourself belts as we begin our descent. I sigh as I can't wait to get off this death contraption. Today I am placed in a room and introduced to commoners.

I'm afraid I still can't conceive of what the council would want? I guess I'll just wait and see. I mean they will tell me won't they?

We are now beginning the decent so everyone please remain seated. Oh no I think I'm gonna be sick! My stomach churns but I can't throw up due to my empty stomach. Yup definetly never flying again and with my plan I wouldn't have to.

You may now stand up but please do not exit the plane. We will start with the front and work our way back. Thank you for flying with the American airline!

Thank goodness! Once my belt is undone I stand up and run out of the plane. Air. I breathe in all the smells of the airport. I smell the Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, and..... werewolf.

I turn towards the smell and find a man looking at me as if I've said something amusing.

Excuse me, sir, are you Ryan? The way he is staring is literally throwing me. Why can't he take a chill pill or dile down the darn testosterone.

Yes, I presume you must be Hailey then?

I nodded because this man is making me more and more uncomfortable by the second. I start looking for my best escape route. If I'm gonna run I need to have a plan.

Ryan leads me through the ginormous airport without even looking around. I clear my throat and he acknowledges me for the first time in ten minutes. Yes, he says in a low base tone. Well I was just wondering how you know where we're going?

He smiles and I bet he catches all the girls with that smile. Though looks and such have long since quit working on me. With a father who treats you in such away you seem to become immune.

I am using my scent from when I entered and following it back out. Plus I've done this many times before.

Oh. Is all I manage before the quite seems to settle in between us once more. Maybe I'll get something from this visit that accounts for more than silence.

Right this way Miss. The car is around the wall. We will get to the manor and you will be settled into your room and then from there your help will direct you.

I nod my head and let the silence settle not knowing it will be all the silence I know for a long time.

The long car rides begin. The driver doesn't say a word the whole trip. Ryan seems occupied by his phone, so I stare out the window at the forest. It always had and still does bring a sense of calm to me that life seems to lack.

Maybe I can finally live the life I have always thought I could, but first things first. I have to deal with the council.
