"They're going to look great!" My photographer went through the pictures on his camera. I gleamed at them as I peered over his shoulder.

"I think that, too." I smiled at him.

"Anywhere else you'll be modeling?" He asked me, preparing his things to leave. I started to dress into my normal clothes. It didn't matter, I was in underwear almost all day.

"No, I think I'll be settling for a while." I blushed, hiding my terrible secret. "I'll be going on a hiatus."

"Why's that, miss?" He asked, strapping his backpack onto his shoulder.

"I...I've got some home issues to deal with." I nodded, a pained face for hiding my secret.

"I see." The photographer nodded. "Have a good day."

"You, too." I watched him leave.

VIC POV

The doorbell rang. It was a strange surprise since I wasn't expecting anyone...even (Y/N). I miss her terribly, but I know she's happy without me.

"Mila?" One of (Y/N)'s friends from the area appeared at my door with a seriously troubled face.

"Can I come in?" She asked, her voice low. I nodded and stepped out of the way.

"What's up?" I sat on the couch beside her.

"(Y/N)'s been catching up with me." She smiled sweetly. "She wanted me to tell you something."

"What is it?" I was eager, too eager, smiling like an idiot. I wish (Y/N) could tell me herself so I could hear her voice.

"I don't know how you're gonna' take this." A smile crept up on her face.

"What do you mean?" I became concerned, the smile on my face drooping.

"(Y/N)'s pregnant, Vic." She said like someone in the family died. I gulped, frozen in fear and confusion.

"I'm sorry?" I asked as if I misheard. My heart was beating a million miles a minute.

"She's having your baby." Mila giggled stupidly.

"Really?" I didn't know what to think. A smile was on my face, but I knew that (Y/N) didn't want me.

"Really." She nodded once. "She wants to come back down, but...she's afraid."

"Why?" I shook my head. "This would be the best place for her."

"You remember what happened." Mila said gravely. "She'll let me know when she wants to come down so you can make arrangements." She got up and started leaving.

I stared blankly at the empty seat in front of me. It was official. I was going to be a father.
