"Vic can you please get the baby." I whined as the screaming upstairs continued.

"Yeah, yeah." He got up. "Didn't you say you had someone coming over?"

"Yeah, Jaime was coming over, remember?" I mentioned. "He's going to help me paint the baby's room."

We never got to really decorate for the baby since I arrived in San Diego too late in my pregnancy to really do anything.

"I thought we were going to do that together." Vic stopped on the steps.

"What's a little help to destroy that?" I shrugged. I heard him sigh angrily as he headed upstairs. The screaming quickly stopped.

"There's Mommy!" I heard Vic coming down the stairs.

"She's getting so big already!" Jaime pointed out as he sat next to me. Vic's attitude dropped right away.

"Why don't you go prepare the paint." I tried to get Jaime out of the room so Vic wouldn't have a bitch fit. He was the one acting like the girlfriend compared to me.

"Geez." Vic sighed, sitting next to me as our baby cradled in his arms, bright-eyed and giggling.

"How's my little girl doing?" I kissed her cheek, blowing raspberries. She giggled up a storm and thrashed her arms around.

"I love you, baby." Vic scooted closer to me and kissed my cheek.

"Ugh, you're always up my ass." I got up and marched upstairs. "Jaime, paint ready!"

"All ready to go!" He happily cheered.

"What the fuck is going on?" Vic stood in the doorway as we started to put paint on the walls.

"What do you mean?" I asked, rolling the paint roller on the wall. It was a light, pretty lavender.

"You and this asshole." He said, holding our baby on his shoulder.

"Watch your language." I warned.

"She's too young to understand." He rolled his eyes.

"Babies start learning right away and I don't want a daughter that swears like a sailor." I smirked, turning around.

"I'm an asshole to you?" Jaime defended.

"You and my wife have been nothing but together lately!" He shouted.

"I'm not your wife! Not yet!" I shouted back, angry.

"We're not doing anything together. We're just friends." Jaime shrugged, calmer than the rest of us.

"I doubt that." Vic sighed.

"Vic, come on. Grow up." I shook my head. "I love you and our baby. I'm just waiting for that ring and for you to keep your distance. You've been up my ass with affection."

"You don't like it?" He gave me a funny look.

"I do, but it's too much at one time. You're spoiling me. That's why I go to Jaime."

"So he can fuck you, right?" Vic lifted an eyebrow.

"No way." Jaime chuckled.

"First, my vagina is destroyed right now." I giggled at that statement. "Second, he's like a girlfriend almost, someone I can spill shit to."

"Ah." He nodded.

"You gotta' calm down." Jaime added.

"So you're just waiting for the ring?" Vic smiled at me. I nodded, blushing vibrantly. "I see." He left the room, coddling our baby.

"I think he's gonna'." Jaime mumbled, smiling.

"I think so, too." I smiled at the doorway and turned towards my work again.
