"No chance." She said before turning back around. I froze where I stood and smirked to myself.

"I've never been rejected before."

"Happy for you and your ego." She said turning back around. "But you're not very convincing."

"So you want convincing? How about I'll treat you unlike any guy before... I'll be loyal to you from the get go and I'll make you feel your worth-"

"Save it, busky." Busky? Kind of cute... "I've heard it all before."

My mind became a cinema displaying thousands of movies each one starring a different idea of how to convince this girl to give me a chance. Then the best seller came out...

"Bet no ones done this for you though." I said jogging back to my microphone. "For the girl that doesn't want to date me in the black coat." I said pointing at her as she covered her mouth with her hand trying to stop laughing. The crowd grew larger at my words , some girls pushing her forward a bit more as she told them to stop whilst she laughed.

I sang don't by Bryson tiller, she giggled as I took the mic off the stand and grabbed her by the wrist as she tried to walk away and twirled her back to me and she scoffed and laughed at the same time.

"You're an idiot." She said laughing.

"Why? Can you do better?"

"Watch and learn." She said as she pushed me away by the chest and grabbed the microphone off me.

I stood there with a huge smile on my face. She's crazy, in the best way. I watched her as she began singing mama mia in between fits of laughter. She came up to me and gave me back the microphone after the first chorus.

"You win..." she began as I laughed.

"So you'll let me take you out?"

"I guess I have no choice." She said as we both laughed and the crowd clapped and cheered.

7 years later:

"I don't know why I thought I could beat you... I'm a god awful singer." Fallon said smirking as she poured herself another glass of white wine and sat on the kitchen counter as I continued drinking my beer on the couch.

"Not even gonna argue with that, you are truly terrible at singing."

"You chose to sing don't, you can't judge me."

"I can, I did and I will."

"I always thought you were cute... I loved listening to you sing, it was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever heard. Smooth like honey-" she stopped herself mid sentence, like she just remembered all the hurt I did to her again. "I think it's time you left."

"Yeah it's getting late... maybe Lacey can come round my condo tomorrow, let's say at eleven?"

"She has school."

"It's the holidays starting tomorrow."

She stood there in silence, her arms folded as she furrowed her eye brows before rolling her eyes. "Fine. I'll drop her by."

"Okay, here's my number-"

"I know what your number is, Jackson. I didn't stop calling it for two years straight."

"Right... see you later." I said as I quietly left her bronx apartment.
