Demon's Love

Chapter 1

[Hiyori's POV]

I wake up in my bedroom at True Cross academy with a jolt as I hear the familiar beeping of my alarm. Damn, it seems so loud... I hope I didn't wake up my roommate.

I think it's kind of bad I don't even know her name- I didn't even bother to ask. I mean, I don't need any friends, so why bother? I'm perfectly fine being alone.

I strip from my pajamas (a grey t-shirt and flannel red and black plaid pants), then go to my closet to find my uniform. I rummage through it, and finally find all the parts to it.

I slide on my white shirt, then my pale pink mini-skirt. I tie my tie, then slide on my mid-thigh length white socks. I slip on my black combat boots, then sling my backpack over my shoulder.

I go into the bathroom and apply my deodorant and perfume, then start pulling my hair into my everyday bun.

"Same boring old me. Nothing's ever gonna change," I sigh slightly as I put my lipgloss down.

I don't bother to eat breakfast, or even brush my teeth. After all, I have breath mints. What's the point?

I get out of my dorm room and start walking my usual route to class, when I notice someone rummaging through a bush.

"Excuse me..? What are you doing?" I cautiously walk over to the bush, a puzzled expression on my face.

"O-Oh, sorry! I didn't know someone else was here," A boy about my age gets up from the bush and looks at me, laughing nervously and scratching the back of his head. "Hi!" He has black hair with a blue tint, and royal blue eyes. His ears are pointy, and he has fangs.

I wonder what's wrong with him. "Hi.. What were you doing?" I move my head over to look at the bush, then I turn my gaze back to him.

"Oh, just looking for a paper I lost. It's just some notes though- nothing for you to worry about! I'll get 'em!" He grins and holds out his hand for me to shake, "I'm Rin. Rin Okumura!"

I shake his hand, "I'm Hiyori Iyumoto. It's nice to meet you." I smirk and look into his royal blue eyes. They remind me of the sea; I could get lost just by staring at them...

"Aw, crap! I'm gonna be late for class!" Rin starts running away, but stops and waves at me before turning the corner. "It was nice meeting ya, Hiyori! Hey, I'm gonna call you something different! Just lemme think of a nickname, kay?!" He laughs and runs off.

I must have made a new friend. I do like him, though.... Rin Okumura. I wonder how he got into True Cross Academy, hm?
