(2 weeks later, Aphrodite POV)
I giggled softly to myself as I soaked in the bath at my temple. I have a confession to make everyone. It's official, I'm smitten with Lynx! He's such a nice guy, and he treats me right, even though we're just friends...for now at least. Although, I have this sneaking suspicion that Lynx has a thing for me as well! He even introduced me to his friends! Lisa, and I really hit it off, and it was nice to know that her, and Nick are looking out for Lynx, especially if that warning they gave me was anything to go by. You'd never expect a Goddess to actually get scared by mortals, but it's still scary damnit!
  Now, you must be wondering why I'm in my temple taking a bath right? Well I'll put it simply for everyone. Lynx asked me out to dinner! It was completely out of the blue, but it happened! Of course I told him yes, or I wouldn't be bathing right now! So much excitement! I wonder where he'll take me?
(Lynx POV)
  I just got out of the shower. I couldn't believe it, I finally asked Aphrodite out on a date. That sounded like a pipe dream before, but now? I feel better now than when I took my chakra back from my universe! Enough about that though! I have a date to finish preparing for!
(6 minutes later, Aphrodite POV)
I had just finished my hair, when Lynx called. I answered, and said, "Hello.". He said, "Hey, just calling to ask if you wanted to meet up at my place, or if you wanted to meet at the restaurant?". I said, "I'll meet you at the restaurant. See you there.". I hung up, and put on one of my nicer outfits. I then rushed off to the restaurant. I wonder how he's dressed?
(Lynx POV)
I sighed as I waited in front of the Italian restaurant Nick's uncle, Lorenzo, owned. Just as I checked my watch, I heard an all too familiar feminine voice ask to my right, "I didn't make you wait too long, did I, Lynx?". I looked to my right, and found Aphrodite standing there. She wore a black maxi dress with an all too generous view of her cleavage, a cut up the left side, showing off her toned leg, and a pair of Wylenn black suede lace up pumps. Her hair was curled, two curled bangs framing her heart shaped face perfectly. Speaking of her face, Aphrodite had a damn good cat's eye look going for her, some blush on her cheeks, and a rose shade of lipstick on her luscious lips. She also carried a black envelope clutch purse.
She blushed, and asked nervously, "How do I look? Do you like it?". I waited for my brain to reboot, before I smiled, and said, "You look absolutely stunning this evening.". She smiled bashfully, and said, "You look handsome as well.". I held my right arm out for her, and asked, "Shall we go in, M'lady?". She giggled, and said with a small smile as she wrapped her left arm around my arm, "We shall, Good Sir.". With that, we walked into the restaurant, and I told the receptionist, "Reservation for Lynx.". The man nodded, and lead us to a rather well dressed table. I pulled Aphrodite's chair out for her, and she said with a beautiful smile, "Thank you, Lynx.". I nodded, and sat down on the other side as the receptionist handed us our menus, before leaving back to his desk. Aphrodite asked me, "What's your favorite thing to do, Lynx?". I said, "I've always loved being outdoors. Camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, anything involving the outdoors I love it. I like being out in nature, I know it's ironic since we're in a city, but who said we can't go elsewhere, and do these things?". She smiled, and said, "You would get along very well with someone I know.". I asked her, "What's your favorite thing to do?". She said, "I like working at my beauty salon, fashion, and you may think it's strange, but I'm a huge sucker for anything involving romance.". I said with a chuckle, "There's nothing wrong with that. When I was a kid, I had this almost unhealthy obsession with wolves. I liked how they had a structure that worked for them. It seems weird I know, but I never had anyone to tell me anything about it.". Aphrodite asked me softly, "You're an orphan?". I said, "I am.". She said softly, "I'm sorry, Lynx.". I said, "Don't be. It is what it is, and the last thing I want is someone telling me they're sorry.". She nodded, and was about to speak, when a waiter came, and asked for our orders. I went with a Fettuccini Alfredo, and Aphrodite went with a Chicken Parmesan, we also got some Antinori Tignanello to drink.
  Aphrodite asked me playfully, "Trying to wine, and dine me, Lynx?". I chuckled, and asked playfully, "Is it working?". She giggled, and said, "A little bit.". I couldn't help but chuckle again. We started talking, and got to know a little more about each other as our food came. After eating, I paid for dinner, and we walked out of the restaurant hand-in-hand. As we were walking away from the restaurant, I heard an all too familiar feminine voice demand behind us, "Who the hell is this, Lynx?!". I sighed, and turned around with Aphrodite still holding my hand, and found my ex standing there. I asked calmly, "What do you want, Delilah?". She demanded, "I want to know who the hell this little bitch is, and why you haven't been answering my calls!". I said calmly, "Firstly, don't you dare call her a bitch again, and secondly, I don't answer your calls, because I blocked, and deleted your number. Now leave me alone. Don't you have to get back to your brother right now?". I started walking away with Aphrodite, but Delilah got in front of us, and said angrily, "Don't you walk away from me, Lynx! Who is that?". I sighed in annoyance, and Aphrodite said firmly, "I'm his girlfriend, Aphrodite Herrera. Now leave us alone, you're ruining our date night.". Delilah said angrily, "You need to stay the hell away from my boyfriend, Bitch! He's mine!". Aphrodite asked calmly, "If he's your boyfriend, then why did you cheat on him with your 'brother'? You don't get to call Lynx your boyfriend, because he did the smart thing, and dump his cheating, lying girlfriend, otherwise known as you. So beat it, and let us get back to our night.". I decided to play along, and said, "Let's go, Babe. No use wasting our night here with someone like her.". Aphrodite smiled, and said, "You're right, let's go, Baby.". We walked away again. We somehow ended up in Central Park. I sighed, and said, "Thanks for the help back there, Aphrodite. She was getting on my nerves.". She giggled, and said, "It's no problem, Lynx. She had no right to do that to you like she did. We may not have put her in her place, but at least she'll back off you for awhile.". I chuckled, and said, "That's true.".
Aphrodite said softly after we left the park, "Thank you for the wonderful date, Lynx.". I said softly in embarrassment, "It was nothing, I just wanted to make it special for you.". She giggled, and said, "You made it special just being there, Lynx. I enjoyed myself tonight. And again, thank you.". She kissed my cheek gently, and I asked nervously, "I was wondering if you'd like to go out again next weekend?". Aphrodite smiled, and said, "I'd love to, Lynx. I look forward to it.". I nodded, and called her a cab. She giggled at this, and got in the cab. When the cab drove off, I went home, and found both Nick and Lisa waiting for me on my couch with expecting grins. Lisa asked quickly, "How did it go? Is there a second date in the near future? Come on, Lynx, details damnit!". I sighed, and said, "It went well, even after Delilah showed up, and we do have a second date planned for next weekend.".
  Lisa squealed, and hugged me as Nick gave me a high five, and said, "That's my man! I knew you could it!". After they stopped celebrating, they left, and I sat on the couch with a sigh. What a night this was, but it was fun though. I really enjoyed myself with her. What should we do for our next date though?
