When Paris Needs Us (Part 1)

Swift was patiently waiting on top of the Eiffel Tower. She had become bored, and in a habit, slipped Chat's ring onto her own finger. Plagg waited for her to run off, but she stayed.

"You know," he started. "You should ask Adrien about the reason he killed your brother. It might surprise you."

She scoffed. "What do you know?"

"A lot more than you."

As Plagg gave his reply, Ladybug returned. Swift looked at her, unsure of what would happen next. Ladybug smiled and patted Plagg on the head. "It's nice to see you again."

"Same goes for me, Marinette."

Ladybug put out her hand and Swift placed Chat's ring in it. "Excuse me, Ladybug?" asked Swift, grabbing the red superhero's arm.

"Yes?"

"Erm," Swift hesitated in her question. "Can I come with you to see Fu. It's been too long since I've seen him and he moved not too long ago. He never told me his new address."

"I apologize for what I'm about to say, but I'm not going to Master Fu's place." Swift froze and looked utterly confused.

"What?"

"Hear me out," started Ladybug. "I'm giving Adrien his ring back, but for one reason. You need to speak with him. There's more to this story than you've seen. I told him to meet you by the Seine tomorrow at six o'clock."

"L-Ladybug. You c-can't d-do that."

"Yes, I can. Your brother-"

"What about my brother! You didn't know him at all, and neither did Adrien."

Swift had tears welling in her eyes. "Swift, listen. Your brother did more than you know. Maybe for good intentions, maybe for bad, but I can only say one thing. You need to talk this out instead of making him feel guilty like this. He's had two panic attacks today, and if this keeps up, his mental state will drop."

Swift dropped to her knees, then sitting on her feet, and started bawling. "I-I guess I c-could go, b-b-but, M-Marinette, c-can't you come w-with me?"

"No, I can't, but I could watch from afar to just to make sure nothing happens..."

Swift stood and smiled a sadly at Ladybug. "Genii, let's land." After a flash of white light, September stood in front of Ladybug.

September ran to Ladybug, hugged her, and touched her black choker necklace. "This is my miraculous. If anything happens to me, promise me you'll keep it, and even use it sometimes."

"I promise. Tikki would like the company when I'm at school." Genii flew to Ladybug and hugged her.

"If I were to have any other owner, I would be glad for it to be you."

Ladybug smiled and looked at Swift. "You have a place to live, right?" She laughed and nodded.

"I'm actually staying at my master's house. He was kind enough for me to travel here on such short notice." She paused, turning from happiness to a solid, straight face. "Would you mind if we talked now?" Ladybug walked up to Swift and placed Chat's ring in her hand.

"I'll wait outside the window. Please return this."

Swift nodded and affirmation and the two leapt of in the direction of the Agreste Manor.
