Nepeta sat on her bed, crying. Lately, she had been very unlucky. When she went hunting, she could never catch anything. Either the animal would hear her and jump away, or she would miss when she was about to take a critical shot, and the animal would get away. Not only that, but NONE of her ships were working out! Kanaya and Rose were fighting all the time, and all the trolls were either mad at each other, or didn't like the other. Nepeta wiped her eyes as she rolled off of her bed.

She walked into the kitchen and decided to eat something. She looked around and saw nothing to eat. She let out a frustrated sigh. Just at that moment, she got a message. She looked at the message. It was from her moirail.

" D--> Nepeta, I have something for you. I will be at your hive in about twenty minutes."

Nepeta sighed and waited for Equius to come over.

"Nepeta I am here. Could you please let me in?" Equius said, avoiding knocking on the door so it wouldn't break. Nepeta got up and let him in.

"Hey Equihiss..." she said, sounding not as perky as normal. Equius took notice of this right away, and asked her what was wrong. She explained everything to him as she burst into tears.

"Nepeta, please." Equius said to her gently. "Even though everything is not working out at the moment, it will get better and I can promise that." He said as he very very carefully hugged the small cat like troll. She sniffled and looked up at him. "Sit down Nepeta, I have to give you something."

Nepeta sat down, wiping her tears as she looked up at Equius. Equius handed her a small, poorly wrapped present. No, not poorly wrapped. Yes, it didn't look like it was wrapped all perfectly, but it was wrapped with care, making sure whoever was to open it didn't get to peek inside.

Nepeta looked up at Equius and smiled as she used a claw to insert a tiny cut into the paper. She carefully tore the paper open to see a rabbits foot. She smiled at her moiral.

"It is a rabbits foot. In the human culture, it is said to bring luck to whomever has one. I thought you would like it...." Equius smiled down at her.

Tears welled up in Nepeta's eyes as she stood up and hugged him. "Thank you... it's so sweet of you." Equius smiled down at her.

Nepeta and Equius spent the rest of the day shipping and Nepeta also talked Equius into letting her braid his hair. At the end of the day, Nepeta felt like the luckiest girl in the world, all because of her moirail.
