"It's so interesting, Marcy! You should really ask him yourself if you want a better explanation, he does it so much better!"
"Thank you Fred, but I think I'm fine without knowing the detailed information."
"Okay, but it's your loss!"
"Fred, please tell me you aren't still talking about mermaid sex," Annabelle exclaimed as they walked down the stairs, and at that moment several pots fell to the ground.
"WHAT?" Both Mrs. Weasley and Mrs. Glenn snapped around and stared at Annabelle, Fred, George, and Marceline.
"Why on earth is that today's topic," Mrs. Glenn demanded, staring at Annabelle.
"I'm afraid that's my fault. Sorry Molly, sorry Emma." Matthew said, placing down that mornings newspaper. A man Marceline knew to be Sirius chuckled.
When Marceline had first seen the face of Sirius Black, she had almost screamed. But Mrs. Weasley quickly explained that Sirius had been falsely accused of the crimes, and not only was he on their side, this was his house.
So, Matthew and Sirius had not only been friends in school together, they had spent several years in Azkaban together, both being falsely accused of crimes.
Mrs. Weasley went back to making lunch for everyone after muttering something under her breath.
After everyone had sat down at the table, Mrs. Weasley began telling them about what they were doing to clean up the house. Marceline groaned under her breathe, and she wasn't the only one. Most of the kids let out a groan, and even Sirius and Matthew expressed their dislike of the idea.
"Molly it's really no use. It's so dirty in here all hope is lost," Sirius began, before he was interrupted.
"There goes Master again, complaining about the house. But Kreacher does not care, no, Kreacher does not." Sirius rolled his eyes as his house elf came into the room.
"Shut up, Kreacher," He yelled, and Kreacher left, but not before muttering several insults about blood-traitors and half-bloods.
Several weeks went by, and not much changed, besides Hermione joining them at Grindelwald Place. Everyday, the Order met, the kids were left out, everyone cleaned, and Kreacher muttered awful things, causing Sirius to yell at him. Marceline was quite bored over the summer, but was thankful for the hidden stream located near the apartment. Fred went with her like he usually did, but on the first full moon of that summer, Matthew had joined them. He was delighted by the fact that Marcelines tail looked similar to her mothers.
The most exciting event that happened over the summer was when Harry was attacked by dementors. She hated that it had happened to the boy but she was glad he was able to come stay with them for the rest of summer due to the incident.
Marceline could clearly tell the boy was upset about something the moment he arrived there, but she decided it best to leave him alone. He obviously had a traumatic end of school year and he was stuck alone for most of the summer. She felt bad for the boy but didn't want him to think she was taking pity on him.
After Harry arrived, not much changed. Mrs. Weasley still always kicked them out of Order meetings, although Sirius agreed to give Harry some information and Mrs. Weasley and Mrs. Glenn allowed all the older ones to stay and listen. They didn't get much information but it was better than nothing. Ginny and Danny were the only ones who didn't get to stay, but Tessa was happy to share with them. After that, everyone was back to cleaning duties.
Some of the things they found in the house Marceline didn't even know existed, and sometimes the kids took bets on how long things had been dead for.
Heading back to Hogwarts was a hassle. They basically had an army of gaurds taking them back to school, but this was only because they had Harry with them. Marceline was just ready to see her friends and get some alone time with Fred. She loved everyone that they stayed with over the summer, but it was quite overwhelming at times.
As they loaded the train, Fred turned to her.
"George and I are going to sit with Lee. Are you joining us?"
"I'll come down later. I'm going to find Aliyah and Lola and catch up with them, but I'll join you guys later."
"Sounds good love," Fred said, smiling at her. The couple parted ways, Annabelle joining the twins to find Lee and Marceline looking for any of of her former Hufflepuff friends.
All of a sudden, she felt someone jumping on her.
"MARCY! I've missed you!" Marceline immediately recognized Aliyah's voice and shook the girl of her back. The girls embraced in a hug and Marceline waved to Lance, who was standing behind Aliyah.
"I've missed you too," Marceline said to Aliyah.
"Don't mention Patrick to Lance, they broke up over summer," Aliyah whispered to Marceline.
"Okay," Marceline whispered back. "But you know I have a bad memory."
The girls and Lance headed off to find Lola, Artemisia, and Cedric. They were easy to find, and the trio joined them. Marceline sat with them for hours before deciding to go sit with Fred.
"Aliyah, want to join me?"
"Oh, that's okay," Aliyah told her, suddenly looking uncomfortable. Marceline dragged the girl out of the compartment and gave her a look.
"George and I decided to just be friends. I don't want to make things awkward," she told her.
"Things will only be awkward if you avoid him and make them awkward. It will fine, come on," Marceline said, dragging Aliyah and causing the girl to sigh.
"You better not fall asleep," Aliyah warned the girl.
"I will not fall asleep, Aliyah," Marceline said, rolling her eyes.
A few moments later, Marceline was curled up with her head in Fred's lap and her feet layed on Aliyah, sleeping.
Fred chuckled at his girlfriend.
"How was your summer, Aliyah," Annabelle asked the girl, while George, Lee, and Fred tried to see how long they could play exploding snap without waking up Marceline.
"It was good. The tour of Europe was super pretty, but it's good to be home and see all my friends again."
"I'll bet. Our summer was boring. We basically just cleaned out the house," Annabelle, forgetting she wasn't supposed to share information about where they were over summer with anyone who wasn't there. Fred and George both shot her a look, but Aliyah didn't notice.
"Was your house messy?"
"Yeah, I guess mum decided she'd save it for us kids," Annabelle said, chuckling, relieved that Aliyah had assumed it was her house.
Soon after their conversation, the train arrived at hogwarts. Fred woke Marceline and she grumpily grabbed her luggage and made her way off the carriage.
"Tired, love?" Fred asked, amused. Marceline simply glared at him, causing Fred to chuckle.
Marceline was dreading her last year at Hogwarts. She was already aware that Fred and George would not be taking this year seriously, as their plans for the joke shop finally seemed to be happening, but she, however, had to do well on her N.E.W.T exams in order to become a healer. She knew that while O.W.L year had been hard, this year would be much, much harder.
She knew most of the other 7th years felt the same way. In fact, the only ones who didn't seem stressed about the year were Fred and George.
Marceline sighed as the students went into the Great Hall, hoping she was highly overthinking how this year was going to go.
