Chapter 10: The Dream I have Woken Up to and An Unexpected Confession

"Mom...Dad..." I say as I stare in disbelief

Meeting them in my dream, I have read stories about a protagonist dreaming and meeting their parents in their dreams...I always thought about it as a myth...but this...it's real

I teared up

I ran and hugged them

I felt a rub at my back

"Don't cry now...You've done a very good job on yourself, Y/N," Dad says

"Yes, we're very proud of you, son," Mom added

Dad lightly pushes me, staring at me into my soul

"I want to tell you something before the time runs out," Dad said

I stayed and stared waiting for another response

"In the future, you have to protect Yang and Ruby, at all cost," Dad says

Why...?

"That's for you to find out," he says

"You can read me?" I asked

"You're lucid dreaming son, but enough of that, you have to protect them, your friends, you're a very special child, and also, I want you to meet Qrow, Qrow Branwen, I have told him to give you something that I have been meaning to give you when you become Huntsman," he says

Mom and dad began fading

"M-Mom, dad!?" I said

"Remember! you have great power in your hands and you need to protect them at all cost Y/N!" he says letting go

"Why!?" I said

he smiled

"You'll know...you will know in the future," he says and disappears

My eyes began to blur, and now, I have woken up in an infirmary, more like hospital

I groaned as I scratched my head

I remembered the person dad wanted me to meet, but he didn't explain too much

I sighed

I suddenly heard the door open, I see Team RWBY and JNPR with worried and concerned faces

Especially, Yang, she seems to...not been sleeping all day, she shot eyes at me when she noticed me awake, she rushed to me and hugged me

"You're okay!?" she says

"Y/N!" Everyone cheers and their smiles showed

I smiled

"How long was I out?" I asked

"3 days," Blake says

Yang still hugging me, she tightened her grip

"I missed you..." she whispered

I rubbed and pat her back

"I'm alive and wide awake, don't get too emotional," I said

She tightened her grip more

I sighed, guess I have to let her, but this feels comfortable

I hugged back and sat her in the bed letting her hug me

"So...when will I get out?" I asked

"Right now if you want, I mean, you just fell unconcious," Ruby says

"Yang told me your Aura stage is in Red, You almost died!?" Weiss says

I chuckled

"Lucky to be alive huh?" I said
