Chapter XVI ✔️

Nandini reached Genovia a week ago and was practicing with Margaret for her Queen lessons. Sofia had joined her as both the sisters are going to be queens of their kingdoms. Nandini of Denmark and Sofia of Genovia as her older sister was getting married. Though Nandini was happy to be back home to her country she missed that tall man who was her king. Queen lessons got over for the day and Nandini along with Sofia moved towards the chambers of her parents.

Nandini will be referred by her real name here that is Amelia.

Amelia and Sofia walked in to find their mother on a call with the genovian press who were there to take her statement on some recent happenings in the country and the normal political talk. The press left and the girls went and hugged their mother tightly and said "hey mother" scarlet kissed their cheeks and they all settled down and started talking as it had been a while they had time for gossips. And yes gossips they might be royal but they are still women at the end of the day.

Scarlet: when are you leaving for Denmark sweetie?

Amelia: I'm leaving after two weeks mother. William's coronation is nearing and so I'm gonna go help them out.

Scarlet nodded and soon after almost two hours of gossip the sister duo left because their mother got a call to reach the Parliament House to meet her husband, King Charles.

Two weeks later:-
Amelia reached Denmark to find his guards standing outside and waiting for her. She got off the jet and walked towards the car and got in. The minute she got in someone pulled her into a tight hug.
"Mani" she whispered and hugged him back. William pulled away after a good five minute long hug and said tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear "I missed you so much love" Amelia smiled and said she missed him more. William pecked her head and hair and then pulled her onto his lap and pulled up the screen and asked the driver to get in the car. All the way going to the palace Amelia was in William's lap hugging him. They reached the palace and she got off from his lap and they walked in and directly went to his bedroom. William pulled her close and kissed her. After a while they went outside greeting Clarisse and spent time with her.

It was night and Amelia was in her chambers as she couldn't sleep in William's room until their wedding and her official coronation as Queen. She was going through some documents when she found a file which had the details of King Rubert and Queen Amanda and was surprised as to why was it there. She found a note in it and was surprised. She left to go somewhere and then returned to her bed and slept.

Next day:-
April 16th; Tuesday

"The coronation of a new king is near. Prince William Renaldi is going to be crowned king and also a surprise from the king awaits us. Waiting to see what he has in store for his people". Amelia read in the newspaper and and sighed happily. She was in her suite when William entered and asked her to accompany him. They walked out and walked towards the ancestral garden where 150 years of Renaldi's statues were present and the very place William's would be made too.

William: Amelia.... he said turning towards her and caressed her cheek.

Amelia: what is it William? What's wrong?

William: I'll be crowned king on April 21st and I wanted to ask if you would marry me and become queen the very day.

He bend on one knee and removed a ring: this was my mother's I didn't give it to you earlier when I proposed to you as Manik because I wanted to save it for this day. Amelia I've loved you for a long time now. You've been there for me through all the bad times became my Nandini, he chuckles my star and I want this for a lifetime. I don't know what the future holds or about forever and humesha but what I know is I want to grow old with you baby. So will you Amelia aka Nandini marry me and make me the happiest man alive?

Amelia nodded and said a small yes and he smiled wide and picked her up twirling her around while she laughed. He put her down and made her wear the ring. He pecked her hand and kissed the finger where his ring was showing his love for her. That from proposing her to be his girlfriend to proposing her twice to be his wife. Yes he proposed her twice.
They moved out from there and went back to the palace to find Clarisse waiting for them at the main hall.

William looked at her and said "got someone to help plan our wedding grandma"

Clarisse smiled and clapped twice and a lot of people walked in carrying a bunch of stuff covered by golden cloth.
She asked Amelia to open them one by one but after sending William from there. 
Amelia gasped shocked seeing the items. She hugged Clarisse and kissed her cheek "thank you grandma I love it" she smiled and hugged her back.
"Now you're wedding will happen on the same day as William's coronation and you will also be crowned queen my dear" she said pulling apart and Amelia nodded saying a yes. Amelia left from there and went to her chambers and sat down thinking about the proposal her wedding coronation everything. She slept after that.

The next day:-
April 17th; Wednesday

"Today is the day the king announces his surprise to the country the people of Denmark are eager to hear the good news that awaits them"
The press conference room: people weren't surprised seeing Amelia there as they knew she was their king's fiancée and was an excellent choice to be his queen.

William said "good morning to everyone. As you know the crowning ceremony is nearing I have another news for you guys". He got Amelia to the stage and joined his hands with her and said "Amelia and I have decided to tie the knot and we'll be getting married on the same day I'm being crowned as king and Amelia will be crowned along with me as queen. The coronation and wedding will happen on 21st as it was told to you earlier. That's all we'll take your leave now everyone ". The reporters got up and started clapping and William smiled and they walked out hand in hand with their PR handling the press and answering the questions. Manan walked towards Manik's bedroom glad that they had one thing done from their list. They slept for sometime and then they woke up to get things ready for their special day. Though certain things were done for them by the Queen but the rest they had to decide and hand it over to the wedding planner Clarisse called. After executing their ideas on paper they handed the diary and checklist to the wedding planner. Clarisse was handling the guest list for those who will be inside the church along with the members of parliament and family. The church could accommodate 300 people. Members of parliament were 200. The close people were about 40 in number and the rest the queen had yet to decide whether to leave it or get more people in. William took off for his duties he might not be King yet but he still has to attend all meetings and be prepared for his role as King of Denmark.
