On top or side is moonlight by Grace Vanderwaal.
"Drink this medicine." Says 'Grandma.' She reached the hospital a little after sunset. Her eyes seem a little glassy. But she wasn't wearing anything black. She wore cream pants and button- down t shirt.
"But it tastes disgusting." I repeat again, trying to get as far away from the medicine as possible, like the medicine might kill me.
"The more you heal the faster you can be out of this hospital." She got me there.
I drink the medicine.
Yuck, it tastes worse than cow dung. Have I eaten cow dung? If not, I'm not planning to.
"I want to drink it." Says Travis.
"Don't regret it, Kiddo." Says 'Grandma' and gives Travis some of my medicine on a spoon.
He drinks it and the colour drains from his face. He starts yelling. "Grandma gave me poison." He runs to his mother. "Mom I'm too young to die."
We all start laughing. Riley and Miley are sitting on the spare bed. Uncle Jamie is leaning against the wall. Aunt Amanda now sits at the end of my bed with Travis. Grandma on chair beside my bed.
"Stop being dramatic, Travis." Says Miley in between her laughs.
"You asked for it." Says Grandma with a grin.
"Grandma, when will I discharge?" I ask.
"Possibly today."
"Is my parents and Peyton coming to see me?" I ask. I recently remember the name of the girl from my memories. Peyton, my nine- year- old sister. As soon as I asked this the room fell silent. I look around and every face is blank
As soon as I asked this the room fell silent. I look around and every face is blank except Travis's whose face still is in the disgust of the medicine.
At last Grandma broke the silence "Well, they are in Hawaii."
"Hawaii?"
"They won a lottery ticket. You probably don't remember, right?"
I nod my head. "Why didn't I go?"
"It was only three tickets."
"Oh..." I trail off.
An awkward silence fell in the room. I don't know why but I feel like I'm missing something. The silence is broken by a knock on the door. Everyone's head turns towards the door (Except Travis who is now drinking a lot of water to drain the medicine's taste).
Dr. Waters enters the room. A clip board in her left hand and a pen in her right hand. The Bryant's stare at her intimidating yet beautiful figure.
"Are you a ghost?" Travis asks walking towards the doctor.
"No." A smile making her even creepier.
