ch:2 At the Royal court!

Sopia enters the royal court..its a huge place which was like a open ground stadium which had paintings of all the queens who ruled it since 1874... it was 2013 n she saw her Granz painting too... she got so mesmerized she kept staring at it fr a while...she noticed a royal throne at the center of the court which had 2 golden chairs slightly lower than the royal throne on either side of it... there where 3 steps down followed by 2 continuous rows of silver plated chairs on either side...Facing the royal throne.... in the middle was a hallway where the citizens approach the queen to settle there problems... Sopia was so excited she ran all through the hallway with ruby..Stella tried to calm them down but they were on there high spirits....

Just then the royal bell rang the announcement declared "HER HIGHNESS THE QUEEN VENNESA THE FIRST IS ON HER WAY TO THE ROYAL THRONE... WE REQUEST EVERYONE TO KINDLY SETTLE DOWN... "... "Thats our cue" Sopia said n ran n stood near the golden chair besides the royal throne Stella stood in the hallway with ruby snuggling in her hands....

The Queen entered the hallway glanced at Stella patting ruby on her head climbed on to the stairs sat comfortably on the throne ordering Stella to sit on the silver plated chair n Sopia on the golden chair where she was standing..

Sopia was amazed to look the ROYAL THRONE which was a completly platinum chair and had solitary diamonds all over it... designed like tender leaf branches... at the head rest they were arranged in the letter 'W' which stood for 'WESTERN HILLS'..

Queen vennesa ruled it since she was 18..now she was 75..ever since she ruled it so perfectly no one ever dared to complaint or raise a finger on her ruling.

vennesa noticed Sopia admiring the throne and called out "Sopia" demandingly it was so demanding that Sopia senced chills passing through her spine "yes Granz... I..I mean my queen" she stammered

the queen chuckled she saw how well behaved Sopia was and yet how cute she was when she was frightend... "honey relax... Im here to tell you something you really got to know...." the queen paused...

"your parents Amelia and Richard...Amelia was a real beauty for western hills..." she paused n glared at Sopia and continued "you got it all darling!...".

Sopia couldn't help but sence her face turning tomato red... she senced her cheeks turning red hot.."but something was more peculiar about Amelia was she was short temperd...God save them those who really upset her...she never forgives easily.." she paused with a smirk on her face. .she continued "Richard was a handsome man and was down to earth.." she smiled at Sopia and continued "I see that in you!"...vennesa chuckled

"Sopia darling Amelia was just like you...do you know What she did when she was 17...!?" vennesa saw her questioning..."she ran away FRom the palace..she was really tough to trace out I couldn't get her till her 18 th birthday... and besides she was the one who returned with a surprise that rather turned out to be a shock to Daniel". Daniel was the prince of Manington who married vennesa when she was 18 it was a arranged marriage vennesa's mother declared to her n she lived it happily..

"what kind of shock did mom get Grand pa!?" Sopia asked puzzled...

"she returned back to westernhills with Richard as the man she loves she wanted Daniel's permission..Sopia Daniel dint accept him honey... Amelia was very mad on Daniel that she left us again with Richard... she married him n was happy without us..after a year Daniel got back to his normal state and decided to accept him finally.. we reached Richard's place to get them back then we saw you... you were a tiny princess.. you were so pretty and cute I took u in my arms n never let u go...slowly i made my way out of the house sat in our car waiting for the rest n playing with the only heir of westernhills..." vennesa paused n was sobbing.. tears rolling down her cheek... Sopia was puzzled to see all this n hugged her Granz.. she said"Granz i never meant to hurt you on wishing this if its painful i take it back this minute.."

vennesa held her tears back staring at Sopia shook her head as a huge no.. n continued"let me tell you honey please let me continue... n no your not taking it back...there was a explosion at Richards place... it took away my Daniel.. my Amelia n Richard...I ran for it Sopia my only duty was to protect the only heir of westernhills... you darling..ever since Im waiting for your 18th birthday to hand over westernhills to u... wait for a call to meet my Daniel...Thats why Sopia Im asking you to hide your identity.."... vennesa sounded so strong Sopia was so amazed to see how strong her Granz was... vennesa turned to Stella n declared.."Stella shall look after you and ruby as your elder sibling...!".

"my queen i give my word princess Sopia and ruby are my total responsibility till princesses 18 th birthday".. Stella stated with complete responsibility in her voice...

"Sopia you take it as a request or as a warning or an order keep in mind to be safe and stay away from danger.." vennesa declared with total concern in her voice...

Sopia nodded her head..and asked "Granz... the explosion who did it!?"..vennesa looked at Sopia in her eyes pulled her close and told"the Utopians honey..!" Sopia was puzzled and questioned "the utopians!?...who are they... why would they do such merciless act...?"

vennesa glared at Stella n stated"Stella you may have to stop your entire day routine today and join us at the breakfast table." she turned to Sopia and announced" princess Sopia see you at the breakfast by 10 am sharp" the queen stood up and walked away from the royal court..
