Months have past and me and Shinjae became really close lately, I've eventually became a part of dream aka their group of friends and became comfortable with each other.
During those months I've learned a lot about shinjae, mostly secrets, secrets that her friends don't know.
It's currently semestral break so we don't have class.
(a/n: yo i don't know anything about the korean education system so please don't attack me in the comments ;-;)
2 months ago, i discovered she had anorexia, clinical depression, and severe insomnia. The day I found out that she was taking a lot of pills for merental disorders was the day we had a heart to heart talk.
She always wears either longsleeves, or hoodies when she's at school, or even when she's just out with the dreamies, and now i know why.
She doesn't want them to see her scars.
I knew about this, Only I knew that she was cutting herself.
I would always tell her to stop but she would always do it again, and again.
Though, her friends know she had anorexia and always tells her to eat. even one time i was snooping in her bag, i found a container of pills for her anxiety.
I even got the permission from taeyong and mark go to her house frequently to check on her.
At school, she would often excuse herself at class and run to the bathroom and i would follow here making our classmate including renjun wonder why.
Once i follow her to the bathroom, she would always gulp down a couple of pills for her anxiety, she can't stand it in a room with a lot of people.
I would always comfort her when she goes out of the bathroom, crying in my arms and breathing heavily.
Why was she being like this? She told me the story.
Well the number one reason is, because she thinks she was the reason, why their parents died.
She was 15 when they died in a car crash, Her parents were fighting on the way to pick her up from school.
Since then She and her brothers were living alone and Taeyong stood as the parent.
Their parents were wealthy so they didn't really struggle that much.
But what they struggled at more was their death.
Since that day she decided to destroy herself.
But she met her friends at her freshman years in school aka the dreamies and got her into gaming.
She stopped cutting herself.
But it was only for a short period of time.
When they reached High school, they all enrolled in the same school but were in different classes.
She was always bullied for being different, not like the other girls she was very addicted to gaming. She was jealous of the girls in her class because she knew she would never fit in as one of them.
They would call her 'fat' and 'ugly' even though she wasn't.
She eventually believed in what they were saying and went into stupid diets because she thought she was fat.
She didn't eat lunch and dinner anymore and was only eating breakfast.
It had gone too far that she became very skinny and was up to the point were she couldn't sleep anymore because of her thoughts eating her alive.
She developed Insomnia and went really severe as soon stress from school mixed in.
Until her brothers took her to see a psychiatrist and prescribed her anti depressant pills and sleeping pills.
A year later she stopped gaming and began to eat at a normal schedule but still was depressed.
She gained her normal weight back. But still has mild anorexia.
She's back as her normal self, But her past still haunts her making it hard for her to actually sleep.
But up to this day she still cuts herself.
And as her best friend, I'm sad couldn't stop her.
