The flickering red and blue lights filled the street. Cars stopped in their tracks so that the people driving could step out and see what was going on. The accident reeled in a huge crowd. Murmuring was so loud, it sounded like a million bees. Police cars and a fire truck surrounded the two damaged cars. One was dented horribly, while the other happened to have flipped, and was crushed. The firemen did their best to cut open the vehicle, just to save the person inside. People made way for the ambulance, as it drove backwardly to the damaged car, while the fireman carefully pulled the person out and placed him on a stretcher.

The person made no movement. Blood fell from his skull down to his neck. His face was scratched with the glass that must have shattered on the impact of both cars. The paramedics pulled him into the ambulance, placing an IV in his arm with the other tried to get him to breathe.

"His pulse is extremely low." One paramedic said. "We need to get to the hospital now or he's gonna die."

"I know." The other replied, a sad tone in his voice. "I already indicated at least a broken neck, a broken arm and a few broken ribs." He touched the person's body, ensuring his theory.

"He's hanging by a thread!" The other cut in. "His pulse is dropping. He have to go now!" He raised his voice. The ambulance drove fast as the two men attended to the unconscious person laying there. They kept checking on his heartbeat levels, and his breathing.

"He looks really bad, I don't think he's going to make it." The paramedic said, his voice worried.

"Don't say that man! Everybody deserves to have the optimistic chance to survive!" The other barked. "Did you get any information on a name?"

"No wallet, no ID..." The other searched the person's pockets. "Must've been in the car or something."

"Common man! I need something!" The other started to get frustrated.

"Wait..." The man moved the collar of the person's shirt to reveal a sewed in word. "Here.... I think it's a last name."

"Well what does it say?" The other asked impatiently.

"Novak."
