We are riding in the carriage to the city. I didn't have to come but the only time my sisters see me is when they want to sneak out to see the city. I brought my basket full of treats like muffins, cookies, and strawberries. Also there's my book and some money to get something. "I can't wait to see the guys there!" Eliza says excitedly. Angie nodes her head in agreement. I turn my head, looking out the carriage curtains, zoning out of my sisters talking about god knows what.

We get there and they dart out the carriage, not even thanking the driver. I sigh as I get help from the driver getting out. I thank him, walking to the square. I start reading my book as my sisters sing about, well I wasn't paying attention. As I look down reading, I bump into someone, dropping my book. I look up to see Aaron Burr. "I'm sorry Mr. Burr." I say as he picks up my book.

"It's okay Miss. Schuyler. Here's your book." He says back, handing my book. I thank him asking him about his week. He looks to the side, uneasy. "I meet a interesting man yesterday. But my week has been good thust far. And you Miss. Schuyler?"

"I have had my normal, get ignored by my family week." I giggle, uneasily. "But I'm going down to the peer to do some reading." He smiles, knowing about my situation at home. We are 'friends', you could say. Whenever I'm in the city we talk for a minute or two about the time we have been apart. We have always been proper to each other, so people don't think that there's a thing between us. We have been asked before and we just got stares.

"Well I hope you have a great day Miss. Schuyler." He kisses the back of my left hand. I do a curtsy as he does. "And as well to you Mr. Burr." We part ways as he goes and talks to my sisters. I sigh, throwing my hands and shoulders up like a child. I walk away to the peer.

It's been a couple mouths since summer and father is throwing a ball for the soldiers that are fighting in the war that is reaching on. I never wanted war but if it means we can be free then fight. I decided that I'll be looking for a husband at the ball. It's the best chance to be with lots of men at once. But my sisters are probably going to over shadow me and all the men will want them.

There's going to be one guy that wants me and not my sisters. Right?
