" Mission report." "Failed." A hand lashed out and hit the side of my face. It hurt, but I shook it off. "I warned you of the consequences if you failed. Start her over." I struggled as the headgear started to lower, biting down on my tongue, trying to remember his face.

I hunch over, cradling my head in my palms. The memory rings in my head, leaving behind a migraine that would last for days. Before I worked for S.H.I.E.L.D., I was an operative for the Red Room and Hydra. I received the same serum as Steve Rogers, and I was sent on missions. The name I was given was The Black Wolf, and every time I completed a mission, my memory was erased. I managed to escape and was found by Agent Phil Coulson. He brought me into SHIELD, and I've been here ever since. I still have a lot of my memory missing, but every once and awhile, I'll get one back. Complete with a really bad migraine. Hydra had just recently shown its face in SHIELD, and I met the Winter Soldier. He's what unlocked most of my memories. I'd worked with him on quite a few missions before. SHIELD was rebuilding, and Coulson told me to go undercover as a tech named Reanne, just to see if there were any Hydra agents still trying to worm their way into SHIELD. I'm pretending to be a total nerd; I even got glasses for the gig. I'm still waiting to be told I can shed the disguise, so until then, I'm watching for Hydra. That, and reveiwing the file Natasha got from Kiev, tracing my fingers over the familiar Russian letters and the pictures of the man I worked with for years, finally given a name. James Buchanan Barnes, Bucky if you're talking to Steve. Coulson told me he's got a team on the way to this facility to ask my expertise on the Winter Soldier, so I'm back undercover as the love struck geek who's not so much on the bright side. Great. I just hope we find Bucky soon before something happens to him.
