The next day at school, Sam still had his crutches of course, and Sam had figured out that Colby had gone to the same school. How didn't he notice such a beautiful human being?

Sam was currently in the library with his friends, including Colby, of course.

Sam was getting frustrated as he tried reaching for a book that was on a high shelf. He had noticed it when he first walked in, and didn't say anything about it. And of course the library didn't have a step-stool since they figured teenagers should be tall enough to reach shelves, but Sam was short, and he hated it.

Sam became more and more frustrated as he stood on one foot, since the other was injured, and the tip of his fingers barely brushed against the sole of the book.

Sam felt a presence behind him, but he shrugged it off thinking it was just someone looking for a book as well. He felt a body press against his back, making him blush, but he quickly stopped once he realized it could be a stranger.

"Let me help you with that" the now familiar deep voice, *colby*, said, and Sam let out a breath of relief and pouted when he saw Colby could reach the book perfectly, well, he had to go on his tips  a little, but he was still taller than Sam. He could rest his chin atop of sams head if they hugged.

Colby handed the blonde the book he'd been trying to grab, with a playful smirk on his face. "Here ya go shorty" Colby said and chuckled, obviously teasing.

Sam blushed and pouted. "Im not short" he muttered.

"Sure" Colby said sarcastically and continued to look for his own book to read.

Colby found Percy Jackson, "the lightning thief" and decided it sounded interesting enough.

Corey and jake met up with them at the librarian so they can check out the books.

-

Sam sat in 3rd period, and Corey's bestfriend Aaron was his partner in this class.

They didn't talk much, but Aaron was chill.

Sam tiredly copied down notes and almost fell asleep a few times, but he eventually made it through the whole hour.

-

Fourth hour, now lunch.

Sam didn't like the lunch that the school served, but he liked lunch because it was almost an hour long and he could talk with friends.

-

Colby was walking through the hallways heading towards the cafeteria. He went through the doors, and saw that Sam had already arrived. He looked super awkward, and did that thing he did when he was nervous, when he fiddled with his fingers.

Colby couldn't help but smile and internally awe at how cute he was. Colby decided to watch Sam for a little longer.

He eventually sat down so he was there before jake and corey were.

"Hey Sam" Colby greeted as he sat next to the blonde haired boy.

"H-hey" Sam greeted slightly shlyly, then he took a sip of water.

"Wussup buttholes" jake said as he sat across from the two. Colby and Sam laughed. Corey sat down beside jake.

"Where's aaron?" Sam asked.

"Oh, he's sitting with his other friends" corey said nonchalantly, surprising Colby. Colby would be extremely jealous if his best friend hung out with a whole different group of people, maybe that was just him though.

After a short silence, corey spoke up again. "Remember when people used to call us the 'social suicide' group?" He asked to Sam, and jake. They laughed but Colby sat there confused.

"Why'd they call you that?" Colby asked, getting protective.

"Long story short we all used to be nerds and whenever someone talked to us, someone would shout 'don't talk to them, it's social suicide'" Sam said, laughing.

Colby was confused. Why were they laughing?

"Its in the past now, and that's why we're laughing. We're known as the social suicide group but we don't give a flying frick" Sam said, reading my mind. Colby found it cute how Sam didn't cuss, or maybe he did but he wanted to make a good impression in front of Colby.

Colby chuckled, and ruffled the blonde's hair. Sam blushed but quickly tried to hide it with his hands.  Colby somehow didn't notice and just continued to eat the weird food.

-
{ after school because I'm lazy like that }

The four boys had been playing rocket league for hours now. It was becoming a daily thing. Colby came over after school, they talked, played rocket league, and Colby slept over. He'd might as well just move in.

"Goodnight" jake said to the three boys, and a chorus of "nights" can be heard.

Sam gave Colby some sweat pants to wear to bed, and Colby thanked him, walking into the guest room beside sams room.

-
{A few hours later}
Colby had woken up by a tap on the wall, coming from sams room. Curious, Colby checked the time on his phone. He lowered the brightness, and saw that it was 2:42 in the morning. Colby was confused and walked out of the guest room, and peeked his head quietly into sams room.

Sam was mumbling something, and turning a lot. Colby got concerned as his voice got louder, and tears started coming out. Colby didn't know what to do, so he just slowly approached Sam.

"Sam" I say softly, lightly nudging him. He doesn't wake up and continued to thrash around.

"Sammy" I say a bit louder.

Suddenly, sams eyes shoot open, and he jumps at the sight of me. He started crying again and just hugged me tightly. I was surprised by this sudden affection, and I slowly wrapped my arms around him aswell as he sobs into my chest, staining my shirt, but j didn't care. He hugged me tightly and i rubbed his back soothingly, not knowing what else to do.

After a while, sams sobs have died down, and he pulled away from me.

"Sorry" he said awkwardly with a sniffle, then wiped his eyes.

I just gave him a sad smile "Its okay"

He smiled halfly at me. "What time is it?" He asked quietly.

"About" I pause and check my phone. "2:59" I say in a whisper, and he nods. He sighs and blushed in embarrassment. "That was embarrassing" he mumbled.

"Don't be embarrassed" I say. I was curious on what he was dreaming about, but I didn't question it incase it was a sensitive topic. After Sam calms down completely, he lays back down. I stayed in the room with him making sure he fell asleep alright before going back to the guest room.

By the time I fell asleep it was probably around 3:29.

I decided to ask jake or corey about sams nightmares in the morning.

-
{Next day}

Sam was still asleep, so I made my way downstairs where the other boys were already.

"Hey colbs" jake said, and corey smiled at me.

"Hey guys" I say, and sit on a chair. "I have a question" I say after a moment of silence, causing the two to look at me.

"How often does Sam get nightmares?" I asked.

Jake sighed.

"He gets them every so often. About 2 or three times a week" he said sadly. "We don't know the cause to any of them either, he said that it was just something that probably bothered him, since he never remembered what the nightmare was anyways" jake explained.

I sat there not knowing what to say. For some reason I felt like buying a small journal and telling Sam to write in it right when he woke up, so I know what his nightmares were about. But, I didn't want to pressure him.

It was Saturday, so i decided to get the journal. ''be back" I say to jake and corey, before they could answer, I already left and was sprinting to the closest target.

-
After I had bought the journal, jake looked at me confused when he saw it in my hand. "What's that?" He asked curiously.

"A notebook for sams nightmares"
