Maria snuggles on the soft mattress visibly showing that she was enjoying her sleep.

Then Zira appeared and glanced at the girl.

"Maria, time to get up now "

"Ugh mum I'm too tired to go to school. "

Zira frowned a bit. It was obvious that the girl was lazy.

"Maria, get up. Now! "

" I Said No!!! "She yelled as she unconsciously threw a pillow at Zira which she skillfully dodged.

Glaring at the girl. She then found a way to get this lazy daisy up.

Smirking evilly, she screams

"MARIA, WAKE UP, BAKURA JUST ATTACKED THE PALACE. PHAROAH ATEM IS HURT!!! "

"WHAT?! " Maria summersaulted out of the bed and landed with a ninja stance. "Nobody hurts my king and gets away with it! No......... "She stopped and glanced at Zira who was laughing her wings off.

Wait she planned it.....!?

A vein popes out of her head in anger.

"You little thing! Get back here! "She shouted and made attempts to grab her guardian but she dodged like a pesky house fly still laughing.

Suddenly, the door was knocked.

The females stopped.

Zira suddenly disappeared and Maria quickly arranged herself.

Who knows, it could be the Pharaoh.

"Come in"

The door was opened and a maid came in.

Okay not the Pharaoh.

She bowed. "Good morning Miss, the Pharaoh requests for you to have breakfast with him. I was ordered to bring you your clothes. "

I blinked. The Pharaoh wants to want now........

"O... Okay. Thank you " Maria answered with  a smile.

The maid was taken back. Maybe she was not being thanked before.

Gathering courage, she smiled back. Placing the clothes on the bed, she bowed again and turned to leave.

"Hey wait"the maid quickly faced her.

"Yes Miss"afraid she did something wrong to upset her.

But Maria laughed.

"Its okay. I just wanted to know your name. "

Maid pov

She wants to know my name?!

"O.. Oh my name is Alice, Miss" I shyly answered with a bow but she stooped me.

"No need to bow to me. I want you to see me as a friend. And Alice..... That is a nice name. I love it. "

I stared at her shocked. She.... She... Wants to be my friend?! But I'm just a palace maid!! Its not I didn't want to have a friend, its just that our status we're completely different.

"Oh my name is maria. If you need anyone to talk to, just come to me and I will there... "

I grinned happily. "Yes I hope so too Maria" and with that I waved and left with my heart full of joy.

Maria POV

"I am most beautiful? What? "I mumbled to myself. Zira appeared.

"Well its true. You are one drop dead gorgeous girl if you ask me. I bet the Pharaoh will fall for you in no time. "

I blushed.

'Zira, I am to protect the Pharaoh, not the other way around"

"You don't know was the future has in store for you girl. Now get dressed. You have a meeting with the Pharaoh girl. "
