Touya glared at his father, standing protectively in front of his sibling, Shoto, not caring at the moment if he would be hurt or not. Enji glared down at his eldest son in return, hating how defiantly he stood.

"Touya, get out of my way," Enji demanded, only becoming more enraged when Touya didn't seem to even falter from where he stood.

"No! I won't let you hurt him. You can hurt me but not him," Touya said firmly, confidence radiating off the young boy.

A slap rang out through the room, Touya yelping pain as he held his slightly singed cheek but kept his glare on his father, determined to protect his siblings.

"You need to learn your place, Touya," Enji says firmly before he walked off, Shoto quick to check on his older brother.

"Touya, are you okay?" Shoto asked worriedly, Touya nodding with a soft smile as he lightly ruffled his young brother's hair.

"I'm fine, don't you worry."

It was while Shoto and the other siblings slept that Touya had gotten into the argument with his father.

"Disappointment? Disappointment!? Oh no, do explain how I'm such a disappointment! Is it because I'm not like you, Dad? Is that why?" Touya hissed, venom lacing his words as he glared at Enji.

"Touya, you watch your tone," Enji growled. "You may be a teen but I am the adult."

"Adult is not the word to describe how you are! You may have the body of a man but you are a child who always throws tantrums!" Touya shouted, this setting Enji off.

Rei shrieked for Enji to stop as fire engulfed Touya's lower half of his face. Touya held his face, the pain coursing through his burns. He looked at the ground like a child who had been slapped for the first time.

"As long as you live under my roof, you will not raise your voice to me," Enji said firmly.

"...Then I'm leaving," Touya says bluntly, glaring at Enji before he turned on his heel and walked away to his room.

"What do you mean 'leaving'? Touya, where do you think you're going," Enji asks, following after.

"I'm done! I'm moving out! I won't live with a tyrant anymore!" Touya hissed out as he walked into his room and grabbed a bag before putting clothes in it quickly.

"Touya, please, you could get hurt, please stay," Rei pleads with a Touya, only for him to shake his head in response.

"I'm sorry, mom. But I don't plan on staying. Tell Natsu, Fuyumi, and Shoto that I love them," Touya says as he stops and hugs his mother before grabbing the bag and beginning to walk.

As Touya reached the door, he stopped and looking over his shoulder at Enji.

"If we meet again, know that I will make you regret this day," Touya says before he walks off.

However, Touya came back later that night when he knew both his parents were asleep. He went to Natsu's room first. He smiled softly at his younger brother before planting a soft kiss on his forehead. He repeated this with his sister Fuyumi and his baby brother, Shoto.

But Shoto woke up.

"Touya?" Shoto called out tiredly, looking at his oldest brother with half-lidded eyes, causing the other to freeze for a moment.

"Go back to sleep, Shoto. Big brother Touya has to leave for a while but I'll see you soon, okay?" Touya says with a soft smile.

"Where are you going?" Shoto asks with a small frown as he rubbed the fatigue from his eyes.

"...Away, Shoto. Somewhere away from here," Touya says before he lightly ruffles Shoto's hair. "But in time, we'll meet again. Now, go back to sleep."

Shoto was hesitant but soon drifted off to sleep, Touya waiting for Shoto to fully fall asleep before he left through the window, that being the same way he had came.
