Brittany’s POV

It’s almost time for school. I’m trying to decide if I should or shouldn’t go to Santana. She probably doesn’t want me to come, maybe she was just joking about joining Glee. I grabbed my coat, yelled “Bye mom!” and went to school. When it was lunch period and I walked into the hallway I saw Santana standing alone by her locker. I hesitantly walked towards her.

“Um… hi.” I awkwardly said and smiled slightly. She looked at me and smiled brightly.

“Hey! I’m so sorry about yesterday! I really didn’t know about the slushies.” She immediately apologized.

“It’s fine Santana, it’s not like you can help it.” I said and shrugged my shoulders.

“So, we’re going to Glee Club at the end of the day right?” She asked me. I nodded.

“Yeah, I mean, if you still want to go there.” I said softly and looked at her.

“Of course! I’d love to!” She answered and closed her locker.

“Hey Santana, what are you doing talking to miss Unicorn?” a female voice suddenly said. It was Quinn Fabray, Santana’s fabulous best friend.

“Her name’s Brittany and she is actually pretty awesome.” Santana replied. I stared at her. Is she actually defending me? What the hell.

“Are you defending her?” Quinn asked her with disbelieve in her voice. Guess she was thinking the same thing.

“Yes I am, got a problem with it?” Santana asked with her attitude showing.

“Um… I should probably go… I-I’m gonna g-go.” I stuttered softly and walked away.

“Wait, Brittany!” I heard Santana say but I just walked. “Really, Quinn?” she muttered and caught up with me. “I’m sorry, my friends are just-“ she started but I cut her off.

“No, no, it’s fine. I get it, you’re the popular girl and I’m, well, the opposite.” I said and smiled at her. She smiled back when suddenly a few slushies hit us.

“That’s what you get when you start hanging out with the geeks, Santana!” a jock yelled and they walked away high-fiving each other. Santana squealed and put her hands on her face trying to wipe it away.

“Wait, don’t touch it! You’ll just get it in your eyes. Come with me.” I advised her and grabbed her hand dragging her into the bathroom. I grabbed a few paper towels and wet them slightly. I quickly wiped the stuff off of my face and then carefully get everything off of Santana’s face. “You okay?” I asked softly while getting the last parts.

“Yeah, fine.” She answered softly. “It really stings, though.” She added and squeezed her eyes shut. I nodded but realized she can’t see it.

“Yeah, I know. It’ll stop eventually.” I said. “A little got on you’re top but I only have a normal shirt, since I’m not a cheerio.” I added while getting a shirt out of my bag.

“You bring extra shirts to school?” She asked softly. I nodded.

“Well, yeah. I get slushied a lot and I don’t want to keep those shirts on. Here.” I explained and handed her a shirt.

“What about you?” she asked when she took the shirt from me.

“I think I got one more in my locker. If not the other Glee kids will have a shirt for me.” I said and grabbed my bag. “Change. I’ll be right back.” I said and walked to my locker. I opened it and sighed. I am not falling for miss Popular. I can’t do that. I quickly grabbed the shirt and went back into the bathroom. Santana was just pulling her top off with her back facing me. “Oh shit, sorry. I’ll leave.” I quickly said and walked back to the door. She turned slightly and smiled.
