~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MIKA'S POV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The smell and sound of sizzling eggs and crackling bacon filled the whole house and was heating up the whole kitchen to a boiling point. I twirled around to the beat, humming the tune quietly while pushing some pancakes onto a shiny plate for later- when everyone is actually awake and semi-coherent. The music blaring from the random speakers I found was definatly going to wake someone up at some point. I pushed the plate over by the stacks of sausage, hash browns, and- the newly finished- eggs and bacon. I sighed as I stood facing the counter, waiting for my biscuts to be finished. Dang its hot... I slipped off my Pistons jacket, revealing my black tanktop and pink boy short underwear. Yup, hanging out in a house full of pervs in my underwear. They'd get hurt more than i would were they to approach me. I grabbed the nice iPhone that Slendy had gave me while Lizzy had been gone with BEN, and put on one of the songs i had binge-streamed from iTunes. As soon as i pressed play the sweet melody filled the spacious kitchen and my heart warmed at how familiar the song was.
Da da da da
The smell of your skin lingers on me now
You're probably on your flight back to your home town
I need some shelter of my own protection, baby
To be with myself and center clarity, peace, serenity
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
The path that I'm walking I must go alone
I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown
Fairytales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Like the little school mate in the school yard
We'll play jacks and uno cards
I'll be your best friend and you'll be my Valentine
Yes, you can hold my hand if you want to
'Cause I want to hold yours too
We'll be playmates and lovers and share our secret worlds
But it's time for me to go home
It's getting late and dark outside
I need to be with myself and center clarity, peace, serenity
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
La da da da da da
(A/N: the song is 'Big Girls Don't Cry' by Fergie and the lyrics i got from A-Z lyrics)
I drummed out the last few notes on the counter as the last words resonated through my head. And big girls don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry. Something startling warm brushed my waist, making my adrenaline rush with a fury. My eyesight blurred and my shoulder blades began feeling uncomfortably warm as i became aware of grabbing something and whipping around to meet my attacker.
"Whoa, didn't mean to scare you." A deep, familiar voice chuckled. I blinked several times as the adrenaline rush faded and my eyesight cleared. Lo and behold the dork named Smile, who had a firm hold on my wrist. I pulled away the thick shard of cold metal which I identified as a butter knife. Woooow. I dropped the knife on the counter and shot him a death glare.
"You should't sneak up on people who know how to pin someone twice thier size. Which I could have easily used on you." I brushed past him and walked to the oven where I slipped on those oven mitt things and pulled out the hot biscuts, setting them on the stove and turning off the oven. When I turned, I was met with a grey tshirt and a devilish smirk.
"I'll be the only one pinning anyone, darling." He accented the pet name as if I were a toy he held close to him, then pushed me against the counter, with a chuckle.
Oh. Shit.
