The sound of the Arctic monkeys, 'Do I wanna know?' played in the background, drowning out the sound of the slow heart monitor. Yes, I was next to Percy. He had fractured ribs and was comatose from electric shock.

He should be dead, but whatever gods existed had spared me my nephew, the last bit of family I still had left. By blood, of course.

The chorus of the song hit, I knew Percy liked old music. Sally did too.

I closed my eyes and let out a little silent prayer, I don't think I would be able to take it if Percy died still hating me. I wanted him to go back to glaring at me and having this insane passive aggressive behavior instead of being comatose.

That man. . . I could of prevented this. The whole reason this happened was because I refused the 'Wolves of the articles' from even speaking to my nephew. I was only trying to keep Percy away from the media, for once I agreed with Percy's father. Percy should keep out of the media.

No doubt would Percy's girlfriend seen what happened to him, it's all over the news. For once, would they just stay out of it?

Yet, I held Percy's phone in my hand. On the off chance that his girlfriend or friends didn't see, he would want them here when he wakes up. I hit dial on 'Wise girl,' not like he even had a password or anything.

It picked up on the first ring, "Hello? Percy, please tell me where you are. I want to come see you, I saw what happened."

"Sadly, I am not Percy. Percy is still. . . not doing well. You can come visit him though," I explained.

She choked on a sob, and growled, "Where is he?"

I understood her anger, Hell, I would of murdered that wolf if not for the fact that Percy was dying. I told her which hospital I checked Percy into. The girl, Annabeth, thanked me and said she would be there quickly.

Annabeth raced to Percy, she fell to her knees at the opposite side of the bed and grabbed Percy's hand. She had tears in her eyes, "What's his condition?"

"His rib is fractured and he is comatose from eletric shock. He should of died from that, but they say that he seems fine and should wake up in a couple of days," I told Annabeth.

She snapped to me, "I watched the news, he went right for Percy. Did you have something to do with it?"

I couldn't lie about this, I needed to tell Annabeth the truth about it.

"On the day of the custody case, a man from the Wolves of the news spoke to me about wanting to interview Percy alone, and how that alone might save their business. I told them no, because I didn't want Percy to be in the media," I sighed, "then he pushed a little too hard and I told the police to throw him out of the court."

"Why was he like that then? That's nothing like I've seen before," Annabeth pestered, her scary eyes now much less scary then a minute ago.

Seen before?

"Well," I said sarcastically, "you've come to a terrible place."

She rolled her eyes, then stared at me seriously, "You know, Percy and you behave the exact same. Why did you stop talking with Sally and Percy?"

I sighed, "A lot of reasons. My business needed more attention, and I became iron Man at this time. And then there was that pig Gabe, I told Sally that he would be an asshole, and she flipped at me. She said that she was only doing this for Percy, and that I shouldn't be around if I couldn't handle him."

I closed my eyes, my tear dux filled with regret and sorrow wanting to spill out.

"Gabe, do you know what he did?" she asked.

I chewed on the inside of my mouth, "Yes. I assume. . . Percy still has trauma."

"Wouldn't you too if you almost got shot? He was abused for years and only when he was 12 he threw him out the door, litterly," Annabeth explained.

I smiled bitterly as I remembered last time I got a good look at Percy's resting face. It would of been when he was 4, Halloween. He went into a food comma and I ended up carrying him to bed. After all, I dared him to eat all of that candy.

As I watched his face, his eyes fluttered slightly.
