Our kids?!

Chapter 43

I was suddenly in a place I knew very well: The garage of Hotel Soul. But something was very off. Instead of an old, abandoned garage, it was filled with cars moving in and out, parking.

It occured to me in a second: I succeeded.

I was back in time, although not exactly where I wanted to be. But I might be able to fix that, or at least I hope I can.

Then I got a text from Ae-ri 'what the hell happened, explain NOW!'  and realization hit me. The others are here aswell.

I messed up big time, it should've only take me, but it took everyone who was around. Hwan is in danger now too. 'Oh, no no no no no no no!' panick started to take over me.

I had to say something to Ae-ri, but I can't explain things to her on a phone, it's not safe enough. I have to figure out one thing for sure: where am I exactly in time.

I acted like I'm just a normal kid, walking calmly, looking around bored, until I reached the surface.

BTS's photos were all over the place. There was dad, then Seokjin, then Hoseok and Taehyung. So I must be around 2016. That's close enough for now.

I quickly texted her, telling her to get money out of his dad's bank account, and never text on the phone again. Then I went to an ATM to do the same thing.

Lucky, there was one near the hotel, so after I took out a large amount of money (sorry dad) I went in to rent a room.

I couldn't help but feel excited. I was still worried, but I'm always hanging out in this Hotel with Hwan, the only difference is the one that we go to in the future is an abandoned, barely standing old house. This on the other hand is the hotel Soul which is still alive, guests going in and out, there's life in the building. I wish Hwan was here with me to see it. We always thought about how was are little secret place, when it was still a working hotel.

But I can't think about him right now. I have to forget that part of the problems in order to solve. I have to concentrate on the task at hand:fixing the time machine.

I'll have to make it useable, before anything happens to my friends. They have to go back to the future, where they belong, where they're safe.

I went up to the receptionist and asked for a room for two. Just in case Hwan shows up. I couldn't stop myself.

I went to the elevator, which was a very old one. It even creaked when it moved. My room was on the third floor, which I knew, gave me a beautiful view of Seoul.

The feeling of guilt kept growing inside of me, as I walked down the corridor. I couldn't help but think about how much Hwan would love this, but his somewhere else, god knows where, maybe in terrible danger, all because of me. Not only him, everyone else aswell. I don't know what I'll do with myself if one of them got hurt.......I could never forgive myself.

So I sped up my footsteps, trying to get to my room as fast as possible. I needed privacy to think. I have to fix this, there's no debate on that. The question is how.

My responsibilities left my head for a couple of minutes, when I stepped into my room. It was beautiful. Much more beautiful than what Hwan and I could've ever imagined.

Everything matched the old green colour as the rest of the hotel, a huge bed and a small kitchen in one big room. A small old-fashioned bathroom and a dark brown closet matching the theme of course. It was amazing.

A tear rolled down my face, I whiped it away quickly. There's no time for crying, and even if there were I didn't deserve to let my feelings out. The suffering I'll be going through in the next couple of days will be the punishment I deserve. There's no doubt in that, I knew it.

First, I set a message to everyone that tries to call me. They'll be able to decode, and then they'll know that they have to go to our dad's house. That's the only safe place I can think of. It'll be good enough. I can only hope our parents will believe them. But I can't worry about that right now.

I have bigger problems at hand:how do I rebuild the time machine before the enemies will find me?
