The host club began and in those few minutes before it started you managed to sneak Honey-Senpai several cupcakes just because he wants some and he's too cute to deny. You were sitting at the table with Honey and Mori. They're always together, aren't they? You're just smiling awkwardly as Honey eats more strawberry cake, because you know that's his favorite. Maybe you should try to make some Strawberry Cake Cookies or something? That sounds fun. Honey was done with the silence so he becan to talk to Mori about you.

"Takashi! Remember (Name)-Chan? She bakes us the strawberry cake we love so much! She's really nice Takashi! You should talk to her!"

Honey seemed like he really wanted you to get along with Mori. You looked at him. He just glared at you with a stone cold face. You know him. He's always around Honey-Senpai when you do your deliveries. You decided to take iniative and clear your throat, rechfing your hand over the table. May as well be professional, right? He seemed like the kind of man to prefer or professional.

"Mister Mori, correct? Or would you prefer Mori-Senpai? My name is (name) (surname) and it is charming to make your acquaintance."

Mori shook your hand, but didn't say a word. You looked over at Honey and he was beaming with joy. As long as he was happy, you were okay. You noticed how Mori had one of the new mint chocolate chip cake cakes on a small plate in front of him. Honey just have noticed too, following your eyes. Honey beamed and decided to not let silence envelop the three of you again so he made conversation on it.

"Those cupcakes are really good Takashi! Try it! (Name) made them herself!"

Mori looked at Honey, then glanced at you. You nodded and felt yourself get nervous. Mori took the cupcake and just bit into the side, eating half of it I cluding the frosting and managing not to get any mess on his face. Woah. That's amazing. Mori nods, setting the rest of the cupcake down. You wait for any verbal conversation.

"Good."

That's probably all you're going to get. Mister Otori said that he was the strong silent type. You smiled warmly and thanked him for the feedback. Honey started clapping and hugging Usa-chan, making a really big deal out of that small interaction.

"Yay! My two favorite people get along!"

You felt your face flush deep red. You're one of Honey's favorite people? But you don't even do much for him?! Maybe this is just part of the host club. Flattering the guests. You couldn't help but grin wide. You watch Honey take another's big bite of strawberry cake. You rested your face on your hand, leaning causally. Is it always this awkward for hosts and their guests? Or is it just you being different? You know that Mori's staring at you, waiting for you to do something. You decide to show a little character and add some more to this interaction. You still have some time after all.

"Hey, Honey-Senpai, you and Mori-Senpai really enjoy being here. Don't you? I really admire it when people pursue their passions and desires. It shows how headstrong they are. Just like you both. I'm so lucky to have your time."

Big compliment. Oof. You didn't feel cringe or awkward after saying that. It was a heartfelt compliment that's you meant every single word of. There is no need for shame. You watch the boys for both of their facial expressions. Initial reactions say a thousand more words in a thousand times louder voice than any true words can speak. Mori had a small smile ghosting his lips as he averted his eyes to also look at Honey. Honey was beaming with pride and standing up, hugging his little bunny tight to his chest. He was so cute you felt like you could explode from fangirling.

"You're so sweet (name)-Chan. Just like cake!"

Then he giggled the cutest little giggle you have ever heard. The Dokis in your heart started going crazy, and not screaming JuSt MoNiKa or stabhing yourselves kind of crazy but accelerating really fast and giving you warm feelings in your chest. It was a simple, silly comment. You felt your face get a bit hot. You felt it with the back of your hand. This was new. This was really new. Unlike most other girls: you've never had a crush. You never found a need for love when you were already married to your passions. Was this a crush? Who knows! You just knew you felt hot and super girly right now. It's super weird. Emotions are weird.

"Mitsukuni. It's time to switch guests."

Oh? Was time up already? That was fast. It seemed too fast. Or was that because of all the  silences of not knowing what to say? It was comfortable silence at least. You just smiled and stood up, pushing your chair after yourself and collecting the dirty dishes to go. Mori and Honey both seemed confused on why you'd bother yourself with such tasks, being a lady and all. You are humble. You don't stoop low. You picked up the plates and smiled at them.

"Don't worry. I'll get these to the washer and bring you back fresh ones with more sweets. There's plenty in the cart. It's been a pleasure having your time, Senpais. Perhaps tomorrow I can bring a more specialized gift for the both of you. I bid you farewell!"

You turned and went to the little storage area in the club, putting the dishes in the washer and grabbing teo fresh new ones. You kept working through the fluffy emotions stirring themselves inside of you. They are confusing and tempting to give in to, sure, but you're not going to drop everything just because you're feeling off. A good kind of off too. You kept smiling and went to the treat cart. Now, let's see. Mori seems like a man who'd prefer a bitter chocolate. Maybe you can make him dark cocoa truffles. For now he can settle with a brownie in dark chocolate coating. You got Honey a strawberry shortcake and placed the plates on their table while they were gone, gretting the next guest.

With a head held high, you made your way out of the host club. Honey was holding two girl's by the hand, busy entertaining them and leading them to the table. You notice Mori halted himself by the front, staring at you. Was he waiting for you? You stopped in front of Mori, who just stared at you a moment. Was he going to say anything or were you just going to stand there? He smiled a small phantom smile again before speaking another short line to you, just like Ferb Flynn-Fletcher from the hit kids show Phineas and Ferb.

"Thank you. I haven't seen Mitsukuni so happy in a while."

He glanced back over his shoulder at Honey, who had already dug into the strawberry shortcake. You looked over at him too. You felt a tug at your heart and you stared back at Mori. You felt a strong kinship with him, almost like a pack bond. Mori looked back at you and his eyes said just enough. It's clear you both have similar interests. You shook it off and pulled out a business card from your bra. What? A girl has to keep them somehwere! It's extra storage space. You wiped it off on your dress to make sure any possible sweat is gone and handed it to him.

"If you ever want to contact me. I have a good feeling we are going to get along quite well, Senpai."

Mori simply nodded and took the business card. Your work and mobile phone numbers were on there just in case. Like that, you both turned and went your separate ways. To no surprise, you began planning special treats for both boys in your mind, wondering how to make them the most special you can. Those two really are something special. They deserve to be called as such.
