Zeke and I have been sitting here for a while talking about random things, and it turns out that he has the same taste of t.v shows as I do

"Can I ask you something?" he asks "Sure" I say nodding my head "When you first heard the gunshots...what was the first thing you did?" he asks "I fell to the floor" I answer truthfully making him nod.

"What are all the injuries I have?" I ask "A few cuts on your arms and neck...and a decently sized shard of glass in your side, which we removed and you have six stitches from it" he says and I nodded "That's all I know since I'm not a doctor so I don't know recovery times or anything...I'll ask about that stuff" he says.

"How did you find me?" I ask "I was driving around and I had turned onto this one street when I saw a van stop outside of a house, a few people stepped out and started shooting at the house...

I got out of my car and pulled the gun that I keep on me out and fired at them, after a bit they all jumped back into the van and sped off. When they left I ran in and saw you on the floor with glass everywhere and blood, so I called a few people for help" he says scratching the back of his neck.

"I need to get going...I have to take care of a few things" he says walking towards the door "Zeke" I say as he opens the door, he turns around "Thank you" I say with a slight smile "No problem" he smiles before closing the door behind him.

I was left alone in a room to do absolutely nothing other than stare off into space and I think I lost a decent amount of blood because I could barely keep my eyes open,

then right as I started to fall asleep the door opens harshly "Where's Zeke?" Carter asks "He said he needed to take care of a few things " I say running a hand through my hair "How are you feeling?" he asks walking towards the window that's to my left

"Tired" I say as he looks out the window before closing the curtains "From what I've been told you lost a lot of blood so you need to rest and sitting up isn't going to help" he says crossing his arms "Well I have stitches in my side...I can't exactly sit up and lay down on my own" I say.

"Then how did you sit up?" he asks raising an eyebrow "You do remember that Zeke was in here a little bit ago right?" I ask

He's starting to piss me off

He rolls his eyes and walks over to the bed and puts his hand on my back "The hell are you doing?" I ask him "I'm helping you lay down" he snaps at me, it took a little bit but I was finally able to lay down "I'll send in someone to check on you in an hour or so" he says before leaving the room

What crawled up his ass?

I woke up to see Zeke sitting in a chair asleep and felt a dull ache in my chest, I moved my head when I felt something shift on my face making me reach up to feel that I have a thing in my nose giving me oxygen.

"The fuck?" I mumble to myself "Oh you're up?" I turn my head to the right to see Carter sitting in a chair with a bunch of files in his lap and next to him on the floor "What happened?" I ask

"You fell asleep, and then I had Mike who is a doctor come in here to look at you, he thought something was off so he connected you to a heart monitor" he says then puts the files down,

"But after a few seconds, your heart started to slow down... he was able to get it back up but until he says so you are going to be connected to an oxygen tank" he says and I nod.

"Damn that sucks" I say closing my eyes "Yeah...you scared the living hell out of Zeke" he says looking over at the sleeping boy "Why is that?" I ask,
