Last day.

Although they were exhausted, the duo ended up waking up at 4am. Mark played with donghyuck's hair, enjoying how fluffy and soft it was. He didn't know that the younger was awake for a while. Mark didn't want to admit that he cried yesterday too. He knew it would only make hyuck even more sad. He shook those thoughts away and decided he should try to sleep again. He wrapped his arms around donghyuck tighter, the fear of losing him hitting him suddenly. Donghyuck tried not to make any noise as mark pulled him close. He quickly found comfort in the olders arms and he fell asleep.

There wasn't an alarm that woke them up. The warmth of the sun woke them up. They looked at each other, not saying a word. The two were now fully awake, aware of what was coming. They ate a quick meal, not wanting to waste anymore time.
The dock creaked under the duo as they took slow steps across. When they were at the edge, donghyuck turned around and took one last glance at the warm world. A world where he felt like he belonged. Mark decided he didn't want to go back and look at the moon or stars. He knew it would only make him cry.
Hand in hand, they walked to the lilac feild where they first met. The two sat down on the grassy field and stayed silent.

"Hey, when that bell rings, the last thing I wanna see is your smile."

Donghyuck sits up, about to say something. The bell rings. For a moment, it sounds like nothing else is heard. Just the loud bell that rings every year. Why is this year any different? They both freeze. Mark sits up as well and sighs.

"Well, I guess it's time." Mark mumbles. He refuses to look at Donghyuck in the face. He knows he'll let tears fall.

Donghyuck wants to say something but he feels suffocated. He can't bring himself to say anything or even move. He feels constricted by some unknown force. Was it the gravity pulling them apart?

Mark stands up even if his legs feel like jelly. He can't move yet he knows he has to. His eye's look like glass and Donghyuck realises that they're both about to cry. Mark pulls donghyuck into a hug before wiping away the other's tears.

"I said I wanted to see you smile remember?" Mark tries to joke.
"How can I smile when you're crying!" Donghyuck manages to choke out.
"Hey, we'll call everyday ok? I promise."
Mark has his pinky pointed out waiting for donghyuck to intertwine with his.

"Ok. You better not break the promise though." Donghyuck replies as a small smile shines through.
"There it is."

They walk together to the center of the festival. There's people dancing still. However, it ends as soon as they arrive to the same tree they met at.

"I'm glad I got to meet you." Mark says suddenly. People are walking in every direction, trying to return home.
"Me too." Donghyuck says as he looks down at their intertwined hands.

"Here. " Mark pulls out a braclet. It's quite simple. It's a dainty silver chain with a small bracket in the center that reads "Full Sun."

"Mark, what- why?"
"I don't know really but I felt like it was necessary."
"When did you even get this?"
"When you were napping."
"Oh."
"Listen, I know it's not a lot and I know that it's gonna be tough, but when you have those rough days.. Uhm just look at the bracelet ok?"

An announcement went off stating that people had to go back to theie2 respective planets before they began to make their way back into orbit.

Mark puts the bracelet on Donghyuck before hugging him one last time.

"See you soon full sun." Mark whispers before running back.

Donhyuck is frozen in place. He walks back but the sudden realization that he's alone hits him.
