Thirty minutes later Daryl and I walked out of the woods and over to Rick.
"Who's comin'?" I asked
"Me, Glenn, an T-dawg," he said. I gave him a surprised look.
"How did you convince them?"
"I didn't. You did,"
"Me?" I asked, feeling shocked.
"Yeah, you. Your little speech made everyone get all soft. T said that if it was his brother he would want to look for him, too. Same with Glenn,"
"Well, let's go then! I don't wanna leave my brother on that roof any longer than I have to," Daryl said. He started running to the truck. I shook my head and followed him.

~~~~~~
"This is as far as we're going," Glenn said from the front where he was driving.
"Why?" Daryl asked him. I rolled my eyes as I got out of the back.
"Because we don't need to bring the truck very far into the city," Glenn said. Daryl glared at him.
"So, what are we getting first, the guns or Merle?" T-dawg asked.
"Merle, of course," Daryl said.
"That would be best. The buildings closer to us, and we'll be able to make a plan on how we're gonna get the guns there," Glenn said.
We all nodded and headed to the building.
I showed them how I got in through the fire escape. It was hard doing it with all the walkers around, but we managed. We only got noticed by a few, and Daryl took them out with ease.
I was first climbing. When I got on the roof I almost threw up.
Merle's hand was laying next to a very bloody hack-saw and his handcuffs. I shook my head and turned around. Daryl was just now climbing up. When he saw it he shook his head.
"No! No!" He screamed, pacing. He ran to the other side of the roof, still yelling. Tears were running down his face, but he didn't act like you do when you cry. The tears just fell. He fell down on his knees where the hand was, still yelling.
After a few seconds of this he looked up at me. He screamed and charged at me. I fell over something and was on the ground. He got on top of me and brought his hand back to punch me, then froze when I flinched. He put his hand down and got up. He still looked down at the ground, just shaking his head.
"I'm sorry," I said. He glared at me for a second, then his face went soft. He nodded.
"I told him we would come back. I promised him," I said. "Ive never broken a promise before. Ever,"
"You didn't break that promise. You did come back. He just didn't stay," Rick said. He walked over to where the hand was and just stared at it. Daryl picked up the hand and walked over to Glenn. He put it in his backpack. Poor Glenn was so pale right then. I felt bad for him.
I looked at the hack-saw again when I saw it. A blood trail.
"Guys, look," I said, pointing to it. Daryl picked up his crossbow and started following the blood trail. I was right behind him, with Rick behind me, Glenn behind him, and T-dawg in the very back.
There's something about him, I said, watching Daryl. It's the way that he walks, and the way that he can shoot the walkers with so much ease. He's so, swift. So graceful.
Stop! I yelled at myself. I'm not gonna be with these people long. I can't become attached.
We saw where he broke into a window and followed it. There were two dead walkers inside. Daryl laughed.
"That's my brother," he said. I walked into the next room and saw a stove. On the stove was some water in a pot, blood, and skin.
"Oh my god," I said. I ran out of the room quickly. I looked at Rick. He had a questioning look on his face.
"He burned his flesh," I said. Glenn turned pale again. Poor kid.
We continued down the blood trail. We followed it to another broken window. Daryl started to crawl out the window, but I grabbed his shoulder. He glared at me.
"Let me go," he said angrily. I shook my head.
"We looked as long as we can. We don't have anymore time for this. Merle could be anywhere by now. Atlanta is way to big to be searching for one man. After we get the weapons we can look some more, but then we'll need to head back to camp before sundown," I said. He just glared at me. He jerked away from me then got out of the window.
"Fine. Let's make a plan then. The sonnet we get those guns the sooner we can find my brother,"
I nodded and looked at Glenn.
"Ok. What's the plan?"
