Fight. Fight, fight, fight.
That was the only word I was allowed to know. Anything else was forbidden. Fight.
My body was naturally small. How did they ever expect me to do anything? I won. Of course, I won. Because if I don't I won't ever get to hear the music again. I don't know who played the music, but I owed them my soul.
I only ever heard it after I won my fights, and was locked up in a cage outside the shack. I would watch people, normal people, cops, you name it. Some would ignore me completely, and others would stop and state for awhile, before going on with their day.
What really pissed me off was the cops. They would always, always stop and stare at me, but did they ever do a damn thing? Of course not. Hybrids cost a damn ton, but our rights aren't worth shit.
What made everything better was the music. There was a house right next to the shack. It was a big house and the lights are always on. That house is my music came from. At night, after my match I would hear the music. Often it was a soft piano. The piano with play for hours, and during those hours I believe for a second that everything would be okay.I grew to love that music, more than anything in the world. Then it was taken away from me in a single night. That was the first night that I had never lost a match. My opponent wasn't stronger than me.
In fact he was just a little boy. He was crying as he looked at me. he was sobbing about how his owner left him, and that he didn't deserve to be here. Some men around him just laughed and laughed. I was the only one who believed him. Because I knew that he was telling the truth. He didn't deserve to be here, neither did I. No one deserves to be in this hellhole.
As soon as I saw him walking to the ring, I knew I was going to lose. They give us our little gloves, that did absolutely nothing to stop the pain. We squared up in the middle of the Ring, and then everyone cheered as they placed their bets.
I faked a few punches, and then he tried to punch me and I let him. He punched me, with a weak fist. He punched me Square in the jaw. Thinking back on it, I laugh every time. For a scaredy cat, the kid had a lot of guts.
He punched me Square in the jaw, and I threw my body to the ground. I pretended to pass out, and the crowd went wild. I had to stop myself from smiling, when I heard the kid crying and saying thank you.
The real trouble came after the match. When my so-called "owners" took me back to my cage. God, were they furious. They took out the whip, whipped me for hours. It hurt like the devil, and I still have scars from it, but I didn't allow a single tear to fall.
It wasn't until they loaded me up into a random truck, that I realized that they were finally getting rid of me.
It felt like days before we finally got to where we were going, but in reality is probably just an hour or two. When we halted I expected to be thrown out into a river or an ally, but was halted at what looked like a normal building.
When we walked in, it looked just like a normal office building. I wondered why we were there, but it became clear when they led me upstairs. It was an hybrid adoption facility. I like men to room with four other guys.
As soon as I got in there they greeted me with smiles. They seemed happy with my presence, and it confused me.
Jimin, Namjoon, Jungkook, and Hoseok. They were all cat hybrids like me.I knew they wanted to be friends with me, but I also knew I couldn't just trust anyone.
It took me a few months, but I finally started to actually talk to the guys. There was no big conversations but I would ask them how they were every once in awhile. Then Taehyung came in.
He was a little fur ball of energy. But he seemed to have the same trust issues I did. I warmed up to him pretty quick, and I could tell that he appreciated it.
About two months after he came in, another hybrid walked in. His name was Jin, and with him our little cat crew was complete.
Not too long after Jin came in, we were given an announcement that we we're finally being adopted. I didn't want to believe it at first, I simply refused to.
My suspicions rose even more as an old lady walked in. What would an old lady want with all of us? We were is now used to her but she greeted us with friends got it smile.
The situation just seemed weird to me, and as we were led to a small house I felt the urge to get us all out of here rise. I almost did when she told us that she wasn't our owner. What did her daughter want us for! Sex slaves, fighters, what? I wouldn't let the boys get hurt, but they were just so excited to finally have an owner.
I cringed when they pounced on her the minute she walked in. I expected her to lash out and hit them, it made me body tense.
I instantly relaxed when a shy smile lit up her beautiful face and she grinned at them. It was obvious from the start that she was like no other.
It become more and more clear as we stayed with her. She treated us no less than equals, and I could find myself often completely captured by her beauty, inside and outside.
Currently its 2 am, and I find myself woken by the nightly terrors. My matches replaying in my head. I had gotten some warm milk, something my princess completely stocked up on when I requested it once.
I sipped it while thinking of my princess, and I guess I thought for just a little too long because a hand soon found its way to my back, rubbing soft, comforting circles on my back.
From how small it was, I already knew it was (Y/N). I turned my head to smile at her, and met her concerned gaze. I knew she knew of my nightmares. She's amazing like that, knowing without my telling.
I turned completely before wrapping my arms around her body. I took in a breath of her comforting scent. This is home, and this is my princess. My newfound music.
(A/N) Hey guys! Its ya boi, back from the dead! I wanted to say sorry for not updating in literal months! Updates may be a bit slow, but I'm doing my best!
