4. Boss?

Karmani's Perspective:

The sun shines in through the curtains in the suite. I open my eyes barely to look at the clock on the dresser. It's 9 am, Monday I get up at the same time everyday no matter how late I go to sleep. I sit up and I'm shocked to see there's red roses on my tv stand. I get up and read the card attached.

"Sorry for hanging up, I had a money call. I hope you slept good, call me when you get home...

I can feel my cheeks warming up he got some beautiful ass hand writing and I love these flowers, this whole thing is just beautiful. Somebody knocks on the door room door.

"Room service!" A female voice said.

I didn't order room service but I still open the door.

"Good morning, I have your breakfast"

"Good morning, I don't think I ordered breakfast."

She pulled out an writing pad and looked over it carefully.

"A Mr.... Brewster called in this morning and ordered your breakfast. Would you still like to have it?"

"Oh! Yes ma'am, bring it in please. Sorry for holding you up."

"Your fine."

She came in and pulled a make shift table from this wall by the bed and sat my food and my orange juice.

"Thank you so much"

"Anytime." I close the door behind her

My phone rings and I run to the bed hoping it's him. It's just Jay though. I answer her FaceTime.

"Best friend where are you? I'm at your house."

"I um, I stayed at a hotel last night."

"Why?" She looked confused.

I start to explain EVERYTHING that happened after she left the club that night, while stuffing my face with breakfast.

"Omg! So the rude ass guy from the club saved you from Jamal?"

"Yeah his name Dave. He tried to pay for my room, stayed on the phone with me until I could fall asleep, then sent me flowers and breakfast this morning."

"Damn his attitude did a whole 180 degree turn! Did you put that Mani punani on him?"

"Girlllllll! No, we just met!"

"Okay, and?"

"Never mind I forgot who I was talking to." I shake my head.

"Yeah you must have! Cause you know I don't care, if I wanna fuck I'm gon fuck I don't have time restrictions."

"I know bestie. But I definitely do, I get attached after sex so I need to know what I'm attaching myself to and that takes some time."

"I hear you... but when are you coming home? Cause I'm still out here."

"I'm on my way to check out, I'll be there in 10."
