Randy Orton's POV:

Soon after he had gave Kane the ass kicking he deserved, Randy Orton made his way through the back storming down the corridor still pissed that Kane laid a hand on her. A women for god sakes. His target was now set on Kane even though his return was to confront Seth Rollins but he will deal with Seth later. His priority was to find Carmella to see if she was okay. He asked about only to be told no one knew where she went. His first initial thought was the women's locker room which he had checked as Nikki Bella told him she hadn't seen her since after their match and that as far as she knew Carmella was on her way to her hotel. 

Randy became frustrated as he was giving her mixed signals. First he told her he didn't want anything to do with her and the next he comes out saving her. He felt bad how he left things with The Princess of Staten Island. He wanted to make things right. He made his way to the parking lot to make sure she wasn't still in the building. He walked through the parking lot when something caught his eye. He looked and seen Carmella standing there alone. She looked vulnerable standing there herself. He slowly made his way towards her before placing his hand on her shoulder. He watched as she turned around with a small smile on her face but slowly dropped as she saw him behind her.

"Randy" Thats all she said before her head dropped to the ground.

"Are you okay?" He asked, pulling her head up, checking her neck for any bruising.

She pushed his hand away "I'm fine" she started "under the circumstances" she muttered not making any eye contact with him.

"I am so sorry, this is all my fault" he said rubbing the back of his head, starting blaming himself for tonight's events.

She looked up at him "What do you mean? Your fault?" She said with a confused expression.

"Year ago, when you had confessed your feelings for me" he started as she flinched in pain of the memory "Seth overheard us talking and heard me" he didn't exactly want to bring it up again but had to "Turn you down. He told The Authority about your 'petty' little crush on me" she looked back down at the ground "Are you going to say anything?"

Carmella scoffed "Say what exactly Randy? How am I meant to respond to that. The Authority found out, so what? I am sure you played it off as you usually do. You said it yourself I was just a distraction and I wouldn't be surprised if you had told The Authority that" Randy looked down in guilt. Her eyes widened slightly as she slowly nodded "Of course you did. The Legend Killer, will do anything he can do stay on top even if it is hurting people close to him on the way"

"You don't get it Carmella. You don't know what its like to be at the top. You've never had a massive target on your back for being the best in the business. You've never been champion. You've been here what? 2 years and still haven't gotten a title shot. In the first year of my career I became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion. I have accomplished more in a year than you have in your entire career" Randy stopped as he realised what he had just said.

Carmella couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth "Thanks for the reminder Randy. Is that why you turned me down? Because I am just some wannabe wrestler who wont make it passed 2 years of being in the company. Maybe you just didn't want to be associated with someone who wasn't on your 'level'. I know I haven't been in the title picture, okay I haven't been close. But I didn't get here because of my family's legacy, I paved my own way to get into the company. I didn't need daddy's help to get my foot in the door. I done that myself with my own talent and my own identity. I may not be Champion right now but that doesn't have to say I wont be in the future."

"Carmella, your car is waiting" The crew member said, opening the door for her.

"So you know what, Brie was right I got a lucky escape. I am definitely not second best to anyone, especially you. I don't want to be with someone who see's me beneath them. I honestly cant believe I spent months upset over you. What was I thinking?" Carmella started to laugh.
