When the lunch bell rang Edward stood and put everything away, his stomach growling as it let him know it wanted food now.

"Lily!”

Lily glanced over her shoulder at the door and smiled brightly, seeing her best friend, "Talia!”

Talia sauntered over, avoiding Edward.

Edward glanced at the girls before heading out of the classroom.

Talia eyed the small bruises on Lily's arms, and the one that wrapped all around it, "Lili... What happened?”

"Hm?" Lily looked down at her arms and laughed lightly, "I kinda fell off my bed earlier.”

Talia sighed heavily, "what about that big one that wraps around your arm? It looks like someone grabbed you!”

"Well…"

"Lily, who did it?" Talia was already fuming.

"What's his name?.... Oh, um, Edward! Bu it's okay, really!--" Lily watched as her friend rushed out the door. She never tried to make a big deal out of the bruises that she got so often... It was a bigger deal when she'd get a cut... It wouldn't stop bleeding... But Talia had always been protective of her...

Edward shoved some books in his locker before replacing them in his backpack with the books he’d need for the next few classes.

"Hey, you!”

Edward shut his locker and looked at the girl advancing towards him, her hair was dark brown and her face was contorted with anger, “What do you want?”

Talia's hatred for these "bad boys" was becoming more and more clear by the second and now she had a reason. She shoved his shoulder as she began rattling off at him, "I want you to leave Lily alone! She doesn't deserve to be pushed around by anyone! I want you to keep your hands off her. You have no idea what grabbing her as roughly as you did can do to someone like her!”

Edward grabbed her hand roughly, turning her so her back hit the locker hard, “Let’s get one thing straight, right now. Don’t you ever push me again.” He spat angrily, “Understand?”

Talia clenched her jaw and kept eye contact, "I want you to understand me.”

“Well you get what you give,” Edward snapped, “And I didn’t do anything to Lily.”

"She has a bruise on her arm that says you did! You can't just grab her like that!”

“I didn’t even grab her that hard,” Edwards face flashed with worry before going back to angry, "Why would she have a bruise because of me?”

"Lily is a hemophiliac. She's literally a walking 'Handle With Care' package.”

Edward slowly let go of Talia’s arm, “How was I supposed to know that?”

Talia huffed, running her hand through her hair, "Well, now you do know.”

“Don’t get mad at me,” Edward glared at her, “Not everyone is going to know that just by looking at her.”

"Just... Please be more careful around her.”

Edward nodded as he picked his backpack back up off the floor, “We’re gonna miss lunch.”

Talia glanced down the hall to see Lily coming, "…"

“You better go if you don’t want the third degree from her,” Edward smirked playfully.

Lily smiled brightly as she sped up. "Lily's really easy going.”

“Yeah, I noticed,” Edward nodded, “I gotta go.” Instead of going towards the cafeteria Edward quickly left through the doors at the end of the hall that led outside.

Lily's eyes followed him as he walked out, "... Where's he going?”

"I don't know.”

“He’s skipping again,” Jamie’s voice came from behind Lily.

She turned and cocked her head, "Skipping?”

“Yeah,” Jamie nodded, “Edward may seem like a bad boy but he’s a straight A student…he even has higher grades then I do, so he doesn’t get in trouble for skipping.”

"Wow…"

“Yep.” Jamie’s eyes traveled to Liam as he walked down the hallway as soon as the lunch bell rang, signaling lunch was over. Her eyes got a far away look as she continued to stare at him.

"Jamie?" Lily tapped her shoulder lightly, "You okay?”

“Hmm?” Jamie tore her eyes away from Liam, her cheeks turning bright red as she spoke, “Yeah, I’m fine.”

"You like him, don't you?" Lily said with a small smile.

Jamie quickly shook her head, “N-No…I’ve known him since the third grade…but he’s never noticed me I don’t think.”

Talia gently took their arms, "guys, we should get to class.”

Jamie nodded, “See you guys later,” She mumbled before quickly running down the hallway to her next class.
