Jungkook, 2 weeks before senior year
'This is for you...'
My sister married into a wealthy family. My parents were happy after the accident. They never paid attention to me, yet they wanted me to go along to the presentation. I love my sister, she was the only one who cared about me.
I wore a suit that my sister's husband designed for me. It was tailored specially for me. I was nobody, why would he make it just for me?
I was at the river looking into my reflection in the water. It was dark while the flowing of water calmed my heightened nerves. Then an expensive car pulled up near the bridge.
"Jungkook! Let's go!" Jung-ah yelled from her car.
"Yeah... I'm coming," I said as I threw a rock into the water.
I hopped in the car and starred into the starry night. Something about tonight felt off, her husband was nice, don't get wrong, but he has never given me stuff. My sister was adamant about not spoiling me since I will grow into a brat. I wasn't the person to get attached to items ever since I was little.
I looked over to my sister when I realized she was dressed formally. That was unusual for her. She was driving in heels, even when she wears a dress, she wears shoes, but not today.
We got to the venue and I got out. Jung-ah told me to go get a table, while she was with her husband getting prepared for the announcement. I chose the table in the corner. I didn't want any unnecessary attention, especially from my parents.
After a few minutes, my sister came out with her husband, right by her side.
"Welcome family to our special announcement of our new inherent to our family empire. Due to an illness that I have, we can not have children. In turn, we decided to choose Jung-ah's younger brother, Jeon Jungkook," Her husband announced to the entire venue. The spotlight shined on me.
Everyone turned silent as I sat there, awkwardly.
"My brother will be the future of this family," Jung-ah stated.
Time Skip
Jung-ah agreed to drive me home, which allowed me to ask, what was she thinking. The problem was that Jung-ah and her husband couldn't have a baby. Even after, Jung-ah got pregnant, they had a miscarriage.
"Why couldn't you choose from his family," I asked her.
"He didn't have anyone ready to go to college. Plus, this may be the chance to make up with Mom and Dad!" Jung-ah smiled at me. I shook my head at that comment. No matter what I did to impress my parents, they never cared. They never cared about me.
"Jung-ah, I love you and all, but you know they won't like it. I lived with Jin for a year before they want me back in the house. They want to use me," I felt a strange aura coming off of my parents.
When we got to the house, my parents weren't there. I thanked my sister, but before she drove off she whispered something to me.
"I bought you a new car. It will arrive when you start school. Here's the key," She gave me a key chain.
It had two keys. The car keys and the house key. I unlocked the house and went inside. They had a family portrait in the living room. It seemed all normal, I wasn't cropped out of the photo, but I saw his face.
"Kookie! Watch me jump," He said at the bridge.
"Don't!" I warned him.
"Help me! Kookie... Get Noona-" He begged.
