At 9 PM, the trio started for the old mansion. Little did Noah know that this would by far be his most shocking journey ever, even after he reached his destination.
Everyone hates bits and pieces and sometimes the whole truth, because it is very difficult to take. One needs to be mentally strong to embrace the truth.
'How old is this mansion?' Noah asked Woojin. 'Some 333 years old.' Noah was surprised upon knowing the age of the mansion. He thought that it was 120 years old, not more than that. 'Whom does it belong to.' Noah asked again.
'Better question would be, What does it belong to.' Noah was confused, how can a house belong to something rather than belonging to someone. 'How can the big mansion belong to something?' 'Well it can be possible legally, but such cases have not been observed often, rather I should say that such cases have never been observed, well at least in the last 333 years, every 333 years since the last 1300 years, a big mansion at a random place in Europe has been bought in the name of a Ring, known as The Spartan Ring.' The last 3 words left a blank expression on Noah's face.
Noah stayed silent for the next 5 minutes or so. His mind was in a combined state of Confusion and panic. He couldn't believe that his family was protecting a mysterious ring which was the owner of a MANSION. He was thinking a lot. His thought went to such an extent where he thought that the person behind this was a merciless ancient soul trapped inside the ring.
And suddenly a lot of things made sense to him, his father mentioning the mansion several times, his brother going to that mansion often. The expression on his face changed from confusion to that of satisfaction, but he wasn't satisfied completely, he sought more answers, the answers that would not help him form better questions but help him answer those questions.
He was lost in his thoughts when Woojin called him out and he realised that they had reached their destination, the mansion was looking scarier and older than ever in the dark. 'This mansion conceals within itself, the truth that we seek and the answers to many of our questions.' Woojin said. The mansions windows were black as if darkened by smoke, Noah was now wondering whether he can take the truth after all every time he learnt a truth in life, he was always shocked and his life was shaken. But he made up his mind of going in and facing the truth, which probably was the truth of his entire life. They opened the old, rusty and creaky main gate of the old mansion. As they walked the path which passed through the garden and led to the house, he felt something was strangely similar, he thought as if he had already walked this path millions of times. But he couldn't remember where.
They entered the house, but the ground floor looked something like a basement, 'How can this be possible, we entered from the ground level, yet we are inside a basement.' Noah asked. 'I think the answers to even this question is going to be within the house.' Woojin answered as his voice broke down, in the 3 hours of knowing him, Noah had never noticed any type of emotion from Woojin's voice. He was surprised.
As they climbed up the stairs, Noah saw a familiar painting hung, but he didn't have any clear memory of the painting as he had never seen it with his eyes but he was sure that he had seen the painting somewhere.
