I groan as the bright light of the sun hits me full on in the eyes. rolling over I grab my pillow to cover my face and try to settle into sleep again but I failed to sleep, as I felt a pillow thrown on me.
"Come on sleepyhead, time to get up" I heard my bestie Sabrina's annoying voice."Sabrina what do you want in this early morning it's a holiday, for god sakes let me sleep."
"Vee, move your lazy ass it's a holiday I know, but I think you have forgotten that today is my brother's engagement and we will be late if you didn't get ready on time."
"Sabby, but I don't even have a dress to wear for the ceremony and the ceremony is taking place in Indian culture."
Yeah, you heard it right, Sabby mom is Indian whereas her Dad is a Britisher.

Mentally berating myself I crawl out of my bed and to the bathroom where I took a shower and brushed my teeth.
I pad into my room with my towel wrapped securely around me as I reached my room. I saw Sabrina in a beautiful red saree with a white blouse. She was carrying a beautiful pink saree in her hands. she was looking fabulous.
"So, what do you think about this saree, do you like it Vee", she asked. like it, I loved it thankyou so much.
"Ok, save your thank for later on, till then let me help you with the saree, alright now time for your make-up."
"Girl, you look beautiful," Sabby said. "No, don't say anything let me see first how am I looking, you didn't let me see the mirror and made me close my eyes this whole time," I complain.
"Oh, my goodness" "Yeah love now you got why I didn't let you open your eyes. I wanted to see this expression on your face," she said smiling.
"Sabrina do you have the matching earrings for my dress," Erica said. I turned to see her in gorgeous baby pink saree, "Erica you are looking so beautiful."
"You are looking more than me, Vee, the boys are so gone by your killer beauty," she said with a wink.
"Alright, enough of compliments, let's go otherwise we will be late and mom gonna kill me," Sabrina said, making Erica roll her eyes.
As we, reached Sabrina's mansion I fall in love with the decorations, everything was so beautiful and perfect.
Men were dressed in kurta salwar and suits. whereas, the ladies were in the saree and lehenga.
Sabrina's sister-in-law was looking so beautiful in her peach lehenga.
"Veronica let me introduce you to my cousins, Sabrina said, and this my cousin Kabir from my mother's side. he is a successful businessman, I don't how this idiot managed to be so successful," she said by making me laugh.
"Oh, come on sister I can introduce myself, I don't need your reference," Kabir said. "Veronica doesn't fall with his charm if he makes you bother then let me know it will be an honour to break his bones" she threatened to make me laugh again.
"My goodness, how can someone be so perfect a beautiful girl, with a beautiful name and a beautiful smile" Kabir, said grinning.
"Wow, how much time it took you to make these lines I am impressed."
"Ouch you hurt my feelings, Veronica seriously it didn't take any time to think for complimenting you, the words came on their own the moment I saw."
This guy is really a charmer, I don't have to worry as I have already fallen for someone's deeply and no one can take his place in my life.
"May, I have the honour to dance with you Veronica," Kabir asked as the music started. Kabir, I can't dance it's really hard to even walk in saree and if I will dance I will fall for sure, I said.
"I will not let you fall, Veronica" I promise. I saw the sincerity in his eyes so, I agreed to dance with him.
We are dancing when I felt someone tapping my shoulder, "Veronica sorry to disturb you but your phone is ringing continuously it's your sister" Erica said.
"I am sorry, I gotta go," I said to Kabir he nodded.
"Hey sis, hey me later, video call me I want to see how you look in an Indian outfit." "Woah easy, my demanding sis just gives me a sec I will video call you."
I went to Sabrina's room and took her laptop luckily I know her password. I connect the laptop and call my sis.
"Hey sis, Veronica, you are looking so beautiful," Thanks, sis.
"Oh, my God my princess has grown in a gorgeous young lady, now I am feeling like an old man," Dad said.
"Oh, come on dad don't say like that you are not old, you are handsome and my hero, I miss you."
"I miss you too princess", "Ok enough of this father-daughter bond I am also here" my mom complained.
"Sweetie you look, so amazing Indian dress really suits you, we really miss you, honey, "She said while swiping co her tears. "I also miss all of you mom."
"Okay, Veronica listens I gotta go it will take only two minutes please don't disconnect the call", with that she vanished.
I waited for my dear sis, to come back but she didn't show up so, I was just about to end the call when a very familiar voice stopped me, no this can't happen.
Then I saw him, he looks tired but still handsome. "Hey Veronica, wow you look so beautiful", "Thanks Richard I am sorry I gotta go my friends must be waiting for me."
"Veronica, wait I just want to say I am sorry and I miss you a lot", he said.
